It's been a long time since I've used Deviantart, and looking back on it it's one huge cringe-fest for me unfortunately, lol. I'm going to delete it all soon most likely as I don't really want it up for my students to find.

Please remember that this site is chocka with cam-whores who are only interested in putting images of themselves up that would be better suited to fake book or the like. There are some galleries that contain, literally, thousands os 'self portraits that are more indicative of a personality disorder than of artistic intent. The same goes for those guys who insist that their erections are works of art that the world should know about, a form of ultra-hight tech flashing where these guys don't even bother attaching a 'mature' warning.

I have seen some of Henson's work, and I have read the reviews of his most recent exhibition. I would still argue that artwork, or fiction, or journalism or even fine wine or cooking must stand or fall on its own merits, and not on the name or reputation of the person who created it.
Perhaps you should read just a little of the story of 'Angry Penguins'.
If another person, with less artistic intention, would take Henson like images and place them on a child porn website then the fact they were 'artistic' would still not stop them from being child porn, in that context.
About the photo of the girls: it is a pretty picture, it is reminiscient of some photos that I have seen fron 30 or 40 years ago of two children playing dress up. It is not obviously sexual at first. They look more helpless than anything else, until you notice that both girls have adopted poses where a part of their leg is in contact with the genital region of the other girl. I also wonder how this photo was taken.
There is red eye, yes, but no harsh flash shadow. The camera is held in an idea position for this image, looking down. Look at the date that the photo was taken, more than 15 months ago, as were the other two images in the gallery. A newer camera has been used for the 2011 images, and obviously taken by another person, as when you take a look at :thumb205870948:
it is clear that this isn't just a self timer job.
So, something else is happenining here, and I not not quite sure what it is.

I once owned a rock with a painting of a faux aboriginal style snake, because they made us practice aboriginal art in school for cultural tolerance reasons i gather.
I also own(ed) a rock made from obsidian, I bought it for 8 dollars in new zealand. in retrospect it was a bad idea, i had to pay extra money for it alone to be brought back home, seeming as it weighed almost 8kg. Did you know obsidian is a solidified gas? because of a chemical anomaly, its make up completely skips the liquid stage during cooling, and under heat and pressure it goes from gas, to glass.
My father confiscated the rock after i broke of several portions to try and fashion into jewelry and admittedly, weapons. Arrow heads to be specific, you see, one after fooling a teacher a faux aboriginal style snake on a rock i had in my possession was genuine, i thought i could make more artifacts and pass them on as genuine, and perhaps make money.
My father says he confiscated it because i was making a mess, but i think personally it was the social implications of me counterfeiting other countries indigenous artifacts for a profit.
However, i was not disheartened, and using remaining fragments i manages to fashion an obsidian pendant. It was still rough around the edges, and I gave it to a girl i liked but it cut her on the breast one day when she lent on it in the wrong direction. It was then I hung up my aspirations of ever being a professional obsidian shaper. Or, 'Obsidiometacraftitian'.
It was then I realized, Hey Doug, You're right.
I must be completely wrong because you're thirty odd years older than I. I forget, the old always know more than the young because the young can only be stupid and do drugs and not give a shit and being old means you personally shaped the world into what it was today with your vast vast knowledge of everything in the universe in fact you are god in a sense because that thirty years seniorhood you have over me contains so much more knowledge than i could ever hope to dream to wonder to hold.
