The Magic: the Gathering card game, mostly, but also sci-fi in reading some of the older Star Wars novels. I'm also rekindling my interest in Harry Potter.

So, Christmas time is coming again, and with it, insufferable idiots who are tamping down on my right to display the fact that Christmas EXISTS! In my school, the guidance department had decided to set up a giving tree... but the principal said no to it. It was because a Christmas tree might be offensive. Ok, so we can't have a festive representation of the solstice (as the tree has NOTHING to do with the religious meaning of Christmas) that also doubles as a means of giving to those in need. Because someone's being oversensitive. Am I overreacting?

Ok, just making sure. I tend to rant on that subject a lot. In my opinion, exposure to _all_ the December holidays (Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Festivus, etc.) is the answer to not offending people, rather than smothering everything that is even vaguely religious.
As for the board games...eh, I can get my extended family to play (Apples to Apples is fun with a bunch of uber-creative writer types)

Denevan Parisite is an orange blob.
