Oh wow thank you! Yes, I use a tablet and while it isn't totally necessary, it makes drawing much easier and relaxing and usually makes a better end product. I swear by paint tool sai. Sai is very easy to use and has the simplest design of the "Big 3" (Sai, Photoshop, Gimp). It's also very cheap, and has a free trial. What style of art do you do? Sai is best for hard lined art but I have used it for painted styles before.

I'm looking into getting a tablet, hopefully as a christmas present to myself ;_; What tablet do you have, and how much was it? I've seen some pretty cheap ones, but I'm not sure if they're more difficult to work with than more expensive ones?

I've had a look at the SAI website. I've decided I'm definitely going to get it, because there's no way I can afford Photoshop O_o 

I don't really have a set style yet, because I'm still pretty amateur at drawing and am hopping styles. But my art tends to be manga/anime art with hard outlines, with quite a bit of airbrushed colouring. To be honest, I'd really like to have a go at an art style similar to yours uwu

I have used cheaper tablets on my older work. I really think a lot of it comes down to skill and how you hold a pen. The last tablet I used was the one at the link below, and I loved it!

The one thing I have noticed is what your dominant hand is and what side of you your computer tower is set up matters, and having the cord on the side of your dominant hand/computer tower makes it easier to use, in my opinion.

I'm flattered you like my style! Although it is not a popular opinion, I have found that style hopping has made me extremely versatile as an artist. Anatomy and consistency is very important, but having fun and enjoying what you do should always matter. If you'd like, I can add you on skype or kik so you can communicate with me much quicker.

Thanks heaps! I've been looking at Wacom tablets, they seem like a pretty popular brand. I'll probably go for a tablet like yours, it looks really good!

Just out of curiosity, would you know of any good animation software as well? I've been thinking about getting into animation, but the most recommended software is Flash (and ohmaigawsh is it expensive.) and I was hoping to find some alternatives.

I usually disliked the fact that I did a lot of style hopping, but I'm glad now that it's not such a bad thing! I do think I have more fun out of trying lots of different styles anyway, at least until I can get a good solid style down. Oh well, more practising, I guess! 

Are you ever planning on making a tutorial for your colouring style? Your colouring is a really smooth, distinct style, and I'd love to know how you do it
