Thank you for the information! I've been looking for a cintiq alternative for a reasonable price, and this was the perfect review to help me make up my mind.

Have you ever used a graphics tablet made by Motion Computing? I've looked everywhere, but I can't seem to find a review on it (good or bad) because it's so old. I found a new one made in 2010 under $100, a 90 day warranty, and a 30 day return policy, and I still think it was a steal (should be getting on Monday...so excited!).

Really? Sounds awesome! What kind of facilities do they have? Hopefully ones from this century, eh?
I'm fine, just got back from London on Thursday. Bloody hell, it was busy. Much busier than I expected. :s
By the way, have you ever read 'Let The Right One In'? If not, read it. Read it now. It's so good.

Well, since I came in from a different school zone for specifically art, all of my classes are somehow related to art/self expression. Geometry, English, Biology; all of it. Plus, they have over thirty desk-sized wacom drawing tablets that we use each day in class as well as Adobe programs, so I, of course, nearly pissed myself with glee. It's gonna be a good four years.
Really? I've never thought of London being a busy place, but I guess it would be... What'd you do there? :3
'Let the Right One In?' No, I don't believe I have. What's it about? (Have you read 'Life of Pi'? Cause you need to. Like, now.)

Oh my gosh, that sounds amazing. I'm jelly.
So many tourists... We went to three museums, bought way too many books, saw a play, ate way too much... But we spend the last day trying to find something to do.
It's Swedish horror about a boy called Oskar who meets a girl called Eli who turns out to be a vampire and it's really well written.
[I'll try, but the movie made me fall asleep and I was trying to be invested.]

Sounds like whenever I visit Atlanta...so, did you guys ever find something to do?
Hm, sounds legit. :3
(Really? I was on the edge of my seat the whole time, mostly because it was so visually captivating and conveyed such an interesting message. To this day, I don't completely understand it, but that's just more motivation to read the book and watch the movie again.)

We just wandered until half-six, when we got on the train and went home. Spent some time in the British museum... But it was so crowded we had to leave.
Yup.
[Yeah, the imagery is gorgeous, but I couldn't get into it.]

moot3100 In reply to CanadianEngland [2014-08-11 20:56:37 +0000 UTC]
I think that's the difference between Americans and the English; never have I been to a crowded museum, simply because it's a museum.
(I understand. :3)
π: 0 β©: 1
CanadianEngland In reply to moot3100 [2014-08-11 21:07:00 +0000 UTC]
It's crowded with tourists. I never got why so many people want to come to London. I mean, plays and the theatres I understand, but the museums are crowded as shit and you guys are only here 'cause your kid wanted to see the dinosaur bit. Why are you all in the British Museum with all the cultural stuff with your five-year-old who won't stop screaming?
[This is the first time someone found out I didn't like Life of Pi and didn't kill me over it. ]
π: 0 β©: 1
moot3100 In reply to CanadianEngland [2014-08-12 22:36:00 +0000 UTC]
Oh, geez, our museums are just the opposite. There are no museums with dinosaurs around here (which is why I get the I-Only-Came-For-The-Dinos kids), just snobby art museums with huge, blank canvases priced out the wazoo or primitive pictures of topless women (no kids come around museums these days). The few history museums we do have are all slavery or Civil War related, so taking the kids their on your day off just bums everyone out...
(Ha, I know. It's mainly because I know what it feels like to dislike or not understand something everyone believes to be "deep" and deem you a dunce for not liking / getting it [Like how I didn't know what a 'Weasley' was until last year...]. People just need to cut the pretentious bit and understand that everyone will enjoy what you enjoy.)
π: 0 β©: 1
CanadianEngland In reply to moot3100 [2014-08-13 07:34:57 +0000 UTC]
Back in my day, kids came to museums for the funs.
[Exactly. Then again, I guess it's all in human nature to want to be superior at something, even if it is useless knowledge.]
π: 0 β©: 1
moot3100 In reply to CanadianEngland [2014-08-13 09:53:47 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but to be fair, it's kind of hard to derive joy from our sculpture section; "These three women were sculpted completely out of feces, then bronzed to be transported to this museum..."
(Oh, definitely. Why else do you think success is so important in our society?)
π: 0 β©: 1
CanadianEngland In reply to moot3100 [2014-08-13 11:50:25 +0000 UTC]
I suppose. Then again, sometimes you see shit like that and you just have to wonder, 'why and how?'
['What do you mean you don't understand science?! Are you an idiot? This stuff is easy! You'll never get a job if you don't understand this!']
π: 0 β©: 1
moot3100 In reply to CanadianEngland [2014-08-13 22:15:31 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, but then you have to ask, "Do I really want to know?"

I tried violin as well, but now I'm on piano. How the hell do people make their hands do two different things and how do I manage it.

I have no idea; my band instructor didn't tell me until I had been playing trumpet and violin for 2-3 years that I should have started out on trumpet, so now one I play with one hand, the second is practically immobile.
(When is the manga not twenty times better than the anime? And, hey, I actually know the second one! XD)

Ha, I'm not travelling and my internet is weak...Twinsies!
In other news, I've gotten caught up on DRAMAtical Murder. I don't know what's better, the anime or the comments comparing the episode and the game.
I've also found the two awesomest art nerds on earth at my school; we're doing an art trade where I'll teach each of them how to draw people and in return I'll be taught how to draw animals, landscapes, etc. as well as how to animate. This is gonna be a freaking blast!

Sorry, I had shit I needed to do, I'm really sorry.
The game is so much better than the anime to be honest. Also, Clear is my babu. I'm not sorry. :/ And yeah, the comments are better than to anime. Much more entertaining and make more sense.
Ah, you have found servants then. Preferably they are already trained to serve you? [I'm not sorry... Again.]
[I'm now watching. I'm sure it'll be a good move.]

Naw, it's fine. Was just finishing up so homework as we speak!:3
Why did I feel like Clear would be your fave? XD Thus far in the anime, I'm really liking the character of Noiz, though Koujaku has to be my ultimate dude at the moment. For now, Clear is on the same plain as Russia for me: cute, mysterious background, but probably wouldn't marry him.
No, not trained; I'm still trying to teach them not to piss on the keyboard. (I'll never be sorry for that.)
(Thanks! :3)
Today, I joined a Brass Quintet group in band class, and in five weeks we're supposed to be performing a classical piece by one of Bach's sons in front of the class. Judging by the people in my group, it will surely be interesting...

[I rarely come on here any more because the ads lag my computer. :/]
Possibly because he is basically just Russia? Maybe.
Everyone loves Koujaku. I have yet to find someone who dislikes him. Noiz and Clear are on the same level.
Then there's Mink, Virus and Trip... People either love them or hate them. I hate all three of the buggers. :/
[Don't be. ] Ah, so they are unskilled. That must be fixed ASAP.
I wish you the best of luck then as, by the sounds of things, you will need it, aha.

moot3100 In reply to CanadianEngland [2014-09-11 20:55:26 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, things are going pretty well; I've had to read a crap ton of books this month for my classes (Never had I heard about needing to purchase a fiction book about wolves for biology) but, thankfully, I enjoy reading, or else this would be a living Hell.
Geometry reallyΒ sucks though, mainly because our teacher's a sports coach, not a mathematics instructor, so his whole approach is, "Just do it, okay?". He's a nice guy, but he's given me a new love for Algebra, which I completely abhor.
How's you, doe?

CanadianEngland In reply to moot3100 [2014-09-13 13:23:08 +0000 UTC]
Ah. Well, I'm sure you'll have found the perfect reading position to sit in without getting uncomfortable after ten seconds, eh?
Wait, you guys have different lessons for different types of Maths? You poor bastards.
I'm trying to write but asdfghjkl. Yeah, it's challenging. School's a pain in the ass because only half of the teachers care and we have to start revising for our GCSEs and urgh. It's so boring. How do you make learning boring?! How do you manage that?!
