I'm sorry to give you the heads up like this but it looks like we didn't make it into the final 100 (Even the variant). Entries were chosen from the most popular of all time category from the group. Ours met the criteria, but was over-looked. There were over 1300 submissions made, and a vast majority of the selections that did make the cut broke the rules. The judging seemed to plainly want this contest over, and I'm sorry for our loss. We did our best, and we should feel proud of what we made.

The rule change completely and totally ruined our chances of being in the top 100. The sheer amount of rule breaking pieces just crushed all of the actual art and eliminated some of my favorite entries including ours. I am proud of what we made and it has proudly been displayed on my desktop for the past weeks and it will stay in my art portfolio in a place of honor. I had a great deal of fun working on this project and if you are ever interested in collaborating again (maybe not a contest this time ) I would love to.

I'd love to collaborate with you again too on another project at some point. You have a really strong work ethic, and you have quality in what you push.
And in regards to the contest, its just insulting that they pushed the non-premium account entries aside to make way for popular regulars. And its not well known but a large portion of the work that qualified breaches Creative Commons (which is illegal to the site itself). Many made submissions and entries that traced over promotional art not featured in the assets pack, and they made no mention of their source. So the very law they force us to see before posting anything is being shrugged aside when its not in our garden.
I think I learned a very valuable lesson with contests on DA, that those who invest in this art banquet get first seat for dinner. I just wish there was someone who could stand up for us little people in these matters.
