# About me
Mei constantly yearns to be taller each day - this has been one of her goals since the day she first learned she was short. This girl is a dreamer and finds it hard to not finish something she's started on.Her greatest art inspirations would be the likes of Brett Helquist, Tony DiTerlizzi and Claude Monet.
She misses her home country of the Philippines dearly and wants to be back as soon as possible. Though she has a Chinese alternate name, she is not Chinese. She only got that name from when she studied at Chinese School as a kid. Rather, she is a proud Filipino gal. That being said, she has a natural affinity for cute stuff, such as fluffy and fat kittens and pigs.
Mei is a fledgling artist who one day hopes she will become like the pros. That is why she struggles as she learns anatomy. Also, she is smitten with the game of chess. She is not a very good player, but she one day hopes that she will be one.
Mei is a proud Christian and she wishes that everyone knows about the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

I notice you're from Canada and the Philippines.
I had a Filipina roommate years ago. Iβve always loved Toronto and hope to someday see Vancouver!
I've found that a lot of people here in the U.S. don't know much their own
country, much less anyone else's.
Part of the reason I post prayer updates is to raise awareness about what's going on in the rest of the world.
Recently Iβve started a personal initiative; if I notice someone on DA is from another country, If I've done their country I let them know.
Itβs my way of letting them know that others are thinking about their home.
