It can be fun, but it's a pain over time, too. Believe it or not, we actually tally up more fatal crashes in the summer when the roads are dry.
Simple math: people drive way too fast for the conditions (and hit big moose which flatten them in the car), lose control and crash at far higher speeds than in winter.
Mostly overconfidence and idiocy.

Yeap, I guess its a psychological thing: its dry let's hit it!
About the moose, hitting one of them can total your car easily, no doubt. I've seen many cars getting serious damage by hitting medium size dogs!!

Hey - some of the dogs around here a huge! I was walking my rottweiler and my whippet (odd match, eh? :D (Big Grin) ) and I ran across a MASSIVE Alaskan Malamute. He dwarfed my 100 pound rottweiler!!!
He picked up the tennis ball I was throwing for my dogs and it looked like a ping-pong ball in his mouth! Dog-Zilla, man!
