When I stop speaking with my microphone, my AVs jaw won't stop moving. Is there any fixed version of the jaw?

The anthro raptor AV I'm wearing has SL default body, while the friend of mine, who has same av, has prim body. Any chance I can have the prim body as well?

Any chance you can upgrade the v2 Anthro Raptor, so the body is a prim too and all prims are linked (or linkable)?

www.google.fi/search?q=second+… I think it's still in development, so there may not be a rush. But instead, could you updade the anthro raptor v2, so it's body parts (and body) are meshes (but they look the same as current)?

I'm planning on making 4 video games via the Source engine (which made half-life). Two will be plain crossovers (Myst vs. Half-Life and Submachine vs. Portal) while the other two will center on a big tech industry I've dreamed of, but can't really have. In fact, one of my source maps is still being worked on.

Such splendid times we all had. And such adventures! Everything from picnics and food fights to interdimensional conflict. I will never forget how wonderful it was to discover that I was not entirely alone in the wide world.

Anyway I have taken up reviewing unpublished proof books. One of the recent ones was "Z. Raptor" by Steve Cole. I really liked it. It doesn't actually come out in the States until June I think, and who knows how long it would be till it reached your corner of the world. But you'd like it. Anything with a big science lab and an island full of raptors has potential! I just didn't like the ending as all the raptors die.

Indeed! It was such fun. I miss it. I love to write such stories. I'm writing more and more, it's become my little fun project. It looks like you have quite an interesting project going on in SL from reading your web site.
*pointsAtCoolLookingWebsite*
Yeah, I was miffed as the author had to twist reality to make the story turn out that way. It was almost like a different person wrote the ending.
Loner is the one raptor you get to know and like, and his death is the most tragic. The author spends a good part of the book showing how Loner has created this massive plot of intrigue in a bid to save his own life and escape the island, but to return the state of affairs at the end of the book back to what it was in the beginning, the author has Loner casually throw away his own life in an obviously futile attempt to kill the main character. (Loner could have ducked out the main entrance and escaped easily.) Then, he's actually killed by a floating metal table top that cuts his neck, as the tunnel they're all escaping through is filled with water. *ciraFlapsHisWingsExcitedlyAndThenActsOutLonersDeath* (urgh, metal tables don't float!) Worse, this is just after Loner has had three grenades stuffed under his nose and detonated (ouch), which didn't even slow him down much. A floating metal table is supposed to be able to cut his head off, when a grenade couldn't?!? It makes me want to re-write the ending myself.
Here's my favorite quote though:
Z. Raptor pg92 by Steve Cole
"Yes." The voice was eerily soft for such a fierce looking animal. "I am Loner."
Adam blinked away his tears, focused--and then flinched. The blurred video he'd watched in the safety of a UN conference room had done no justice at all to the scale and power of this creature before him. Loner stood taller than a man but hunched over in the classic prehistoric predator stance, arms hooked over and outstretched. Piercing orange eyes shone in the low, elongated head that crowned the thick curl of his neck. The scarlet striped snout sniffed and quivered. His thighs were bunched with corded muscle, and the claws curling out from his hind feet were like butcher's hooks. A thicket of thorny quills blanketed his chest and shoulders.
The creature stood there, breathing heavily. Just watching. Impossible, but so real.
Sorry for being so long winded! I hope you don't mind.

heheh yea~ I decided that if I couldn't finish my own story, I could make it out (semi) real in SL instead. Have got a plot going on there in background story for my place
Aww at the poor ending too It suck having interesting story with sad ending.

*nods* ^..^ *wondersWhyNargusCouldNotFinish* Having an backstory makes a place come alive and gives it history. I'm in Architecture school now, and we often delve into the 'mythology' of a place -- or the people who live there -- as the basis of what is to be built. When they began teaching that idea my head nodded up and down.
I have never ventured into SL, but I am considering doing it. My little brother had me set up an OpenSim server, so now I'm curious about this 'thing' that I just built.
Yup, I think he should have let Loner escape -- it could have been an interesting element in the next book. Some future role to play.

Well, mostly 'cause I don't have enough idea to expand upon my plot line and lack the motivations. I've also got that other Xenomorph plot I have that's half done. Bit sad, but oh well...at least I get to express some of my plot in my Park, and the Xeno story at least has an semi-ending.
And ahh~ I like history in the place, too~
And yea about the story...bad move on that part Even if it's supposed to be tragic, having him dead in a way that could be exploit later would have been better.

Heh, and I know a few people in the field. I created a little VR tour of the place I worked at: [link] Paleo is hardly the only thing I've done. The short list includes hardware design, software design, physics, currently Architecture, and a stint in a genetics lab. *spreadsWingsSlightly* Be afraid little raptor, be very afraid. *grinsevily* Ok, it was plant genetics but we used the same software sims needed to do animals. Mostly we did sequencing, but that didn't stop me from learning about synthesis, nuclear replacement, and telomere enhancement.

Oh. No, it won't work under linux, not even with wine plugins. That page has multi-node QTVRs and fancy quicktime stuff. freepv only handles single node QTVRs and no hotspots. It makes me a bit sad as I'm a big linux fan. I wrote a chunk of the h264 codex for quicktime (which we did under linux!) So I spent quite a while playing around with both -- the real problem is that steve jobs doesn't like linux (he had a bad run in with linus) and so won't allow it. Apple made up all kinds of stories about why they couldn't do it, but they were simply not true.
Don't you have a windows box lying around still? That's your best bet.

I've gotten on VM and see the page though! I've got to wonder why there's no equivalent of that plugin in Linux yet! How do you create video like that though? Is it just a matter of capturing the right pictures and combining them in some creator tools, or is there more to it?

Heh, well using a language is the best way to learn it. Do make sure that you study well written things as otherwise it will confuse you in the long run. That is a tripping point for many people... the whole 'engrish' thing. I try to always write correctly; if that helps you then I am happy.
^..^ To make panoramas you take a series of photographs and then using a stitching system [link] , you transform each image into a new projection and blend them together. Its a bit tricky rotating your camera around the point where its point of view does not shift.
I doubt that anyone is going to go back and make a QTRV viewer for linux now that we have flash and java based ones. I didn't use them when I did this because they didn't exist then.
