mmm. i try to tune her to sound extra nice, but like. masuda sings very choppily too, in gamble rumble there's the one me-e she does that sounds exactly like lily's i-i. so it's not a fault. just a feature. i haven't been spamming the i phoneme like i used to, but placing utterances in another note for tuning, like [k' o] [o]

I think Masuda's singing is more preference / stylistic.
Recordings just take straight flat samples [almost like recording an UTAU]
So no, it's not a feature, it's a problem with either the way they programmed it or etc.
but the [-] phoneme makes connectivity smoother.
I haven't worked with Lily seriously enough, but when I get a chance, I'll look into it?

I tried to use the - phoneme when I first got her. It didn't seem to work D:
and I think it's perfectly possible they configured her vowels choppy on purpose, but it's not to bad, as long as you don't tune like matt9five *wrinkles nose*

Oh, Circus-P's tuning is rather stylistic. It's his style, personally.

i mean. he puts utterances in a 64th note, but slicing off the end of the previous one.
if you use lily, then any notes like [ki][i][i] would click. so i'm drawing in params instead, because i tune lke that myself occasionally

Oh, I used to use V2 before I bought SeeU.
But honestly, the voice quality isn't really enhanced when you import [since I have Miku Appends in V2], it's just some features are more prominent.
(for example, the hidden phonemes such as [_0] work)

Drawing sine curves / [cosine too?pff] is really temperamental depending on tempo of song / placement of note / what note it is / length of note / etc.

But there's a trick where you draw one perfect vibrato and copy pasta.
