Subscription trial ended - Oh well, I probably could've enjoyed it more at a time where I was feeling more artistic and used DA more often. I recommend any of you who have access to plastic to subscribe to DA; it's one of the best and most interesting innitiative on the internet, definately worth supporting.

UPDATE: the suburban project I mentioned in my journal probably needs some clarification. The idea is that the work would be photojournalistic as oposed to artistic in nature. Therefore it will be in a very different style. The premise is to convey the reality I inhabit as a photographic essay which would probably resemble a collage or something.

It's also important to remember that much of my early (and later) work is no more than some form of experimentation with either that camera, or Photoshop's various functions in the interests of artistic development (a.k.a. all of my early work, the super-saturation work, as well as the unfortunate gausian-blur collection.)

1. I'm very sorry my art doesn't please your artistic sensibilities.
2. 'Gruder' is my name while 'nesckthe44' is just my internet alias.
3. I'm very much aware of the limitation of my work but for various reasons I am unable to reach the artistic levels of some of my peers (mostly money, time, and experience). On the other hand I don't believe my work to be completely devoid of artistic value
4. As for my art being 'one-sided' I'm not exactly sure what that means so you'll have to elaborate more (perhaps via a PRIVATE message this time).
5. I use photoshop with a great deal of restraint and my manipulations rarely surpass the level of colour, saturation, and contrast adjustments which I believe are perfectly acceptable (see some of the other photographer's work). Also my limited hardware leaves me very few options in terms of in-camera manipulation.
6. I do make spelling mistakes.
7. I'm not sure what the matter is with my 'internet persona' or whatnot. It's just an interface I use to post my work, not necessarily an accurate reflection of my real personality.
Thank you for your more coherent comment Illya; they were very interesting although IMHO extremely over-the-top. In the future, however, maybe a private message would be more appropriate for very personal comments.
As for anybody else who may be concerned with the quality of my photography (or whether or not it's 'abstract' enough) all I can say is I'm still learning and I'm doing my best with the resources available.

Let me address your growing concerns in due course and in due quantity of your brain cells. Of course, it is most likely nothing can harm your virtual persona, and that is perfectly acceptable.
So instead I will comment on your style, of both rebuttal (rhetoric) and your "art".
First off, your rebuttal,"Therefore unless you actually have something to ssay[Sic] please stop posting pointless comments on my DA account," concerning my comments is in itself a waste of space on your front page. If my comments cycle and have no meaning (nihilistic approach), then why would you bother to spend time giving them attention? You yourself have given meaning to them - and therefore proved a point of their existence in a capacity inferring a level of importance.
The second stanza of this rather discordant poem deals with your "art". As much as I am a fan of photography. what you have has little artistic value in a generic sense, and more meaning, and perhaps limited spiritual significance, to none other than YOURSELF.
Your art is one sided, you do not really experiment with the medium of reality - your photography captures nothing abstract or thought provoking from reality.
In addition, a small chipmunk I saw yestermorrow told me of your use of "Photoshop CS". If you claim to be a photographer - proud of his creations - all the effects should be the byproduct of direct alteration to said images via your camera's funtions - you would not have to cover for your own skill's deficiency by using very limited fucntions of a program which I revere.
It is most exhilirating dealing with your newly acquired innocent personality, but whatever quantity of psychoactive drugs the local psychiatrist prescribed have, with great mournful effect upon my usually neutral emotional demeanor, destroyed the other personality I used to know. Please conference with the other noted personalities and hopefully bring about an election in which a different, once presiding entity named "Gruder" is reinstated to conscious power.
