I just practice, have been folding since I was 11, on and off - certainly my skill level in the last year has skyrocketed because I did a different model every day for a year in 2011

That's awesome. i started in the third grade my self. but i don't have many things to practice on. It was my Great Uncle who taught me. It's still one of my favorite pasttimes, though I haven't folded for a while.
