I never liked the old star trek, it's all poor technology, but the new start trek is IMPRESSIVE! and I love Chris Pine, he's a good actor!

Now in modern days technology to make special effects is highly improved, the technology back than is poor compared to the awesome technology today. Just compare the old star trek to the new, by quality.

I don't do that. I pay more attention to the story and characters, not lens flare, special effects, and lens flare. That's not what Star Trek is about! If you can't see that, I can't call you a real Trekkie.

I'm not actually, i didn't know about star Trek until the first "new" start trek movie came out, than I found out about the old show, decided to take a look at it, and did not like what I see, and yes I'm one of those ppl who care about quality and graphics combined with the story and all. But bad quality easily gets in the way for me. Which is why I always like the new re-makes or movies and games.

Of course. I have noticed obvious physical differences, too. I just like pointing them out.
Kirk: The original Kirk had a kind of hazel eyes, and was 5'10. Reboot had blue eyes and is 6'0".
Spock: Age difference, I won't bother with, as everything happened earlier, but the reboot is 6'2", which on a mere inch taller than the original.
Scotty: the original was 5'8" with dark hair and brown eyes, reboot was a 5'10" redhead with brown eyes.
Sulu: the original was 5'8", and the reboot is 5'10 with a mildly tousled pompadour.
You already know the obvious differences between Uhura and Uhura.
Chekov: (my favourite to point out for some reason) The original had straight, dark-brown(at first) hair, was only 5'6, kind of hormonal, and had brown eyes. Not to mention he was twenty-two. The reboot had what looked like a perm, blue eyes, and paid attention. That, and he was pasty.
I pay way too much attention.

When one actor fails, is not the director is the actor, you can see, how the rest of the casting try his best to be the character in hand, Pine dont try, he try to be Han Solo in Star Trek, eh even say he was doing Han Solo in entreviews.
