Ow. That's not fun. >.< I have a trick that you can try and see if it works for you... Draw something and unsterotype it. For instance, draw a mermaid, but not one that has the typical Little Mermaid fashionable tailfin and clamshell bra or a werewold that looks more like a puppy. xD It's pretty fun to do and-- for me-- gets the juices flowing.

Good job on your amy lee portrait! Don't worry about what those other people said. You got publicity, and either their jealous, or they don't understand. You have much potential, and it wouldn't hurt to study your picture. I hope you take that as constructive criticism, because even tracing helps you understand the shapes and the picture more. One of the things I do is look at the picture untill I can't stand to look at it anymore, noting every detail as I scaled down the body. One can spot some of the mistakes in even srcasm's work from doing this!
