Roy is a stage three clinger, so naturally after befriending Jason he can be a bit overwhelming (understatement of the year, Roy).
Currently he is bored. There are no more gadgets to fix, flamethrowers to try out or beer to guzzle. Naturally he seeks out Jason, and naturally he has to do things in that particular way of annoying others. Like poking Jason's cheek with a pen he found.
"Jay, yo, Jay. I'm bored. Let's go do something."
Nothing specific because Roy really has no idea what to do. What do vigilantes do during their time off? He doesn't remember. Oliver never hung out with him and he doesn't have a date tonight.

All he remembers is a white light, an explosion, a loud crack and a splitting headache. Followed by water, a lot of water. And a few deafening screams.
One moment he’s looking at the thug taking a shaky aim with a grenade launcher and the next moment Jason feels as though he’s drowning. Scratch that, he’s drowning. Water seeps into his helmet and the constant throbbing in the back of his head indicates that he received a rather large hit. The crack in his helmet widens, allowing more water to slip inside. It requires a tremendous amount of effort to keep his eyes open, let alone move his limbs properly.
By some strange twist of fate, or perhaps plain luck, a pair of hand pull him upwards and suddenly there’s air, oxygen. He lands on his back, a choked noise escaping his throat as he coughs up more than enough water to fill at least two glasses.
It isn’t until he hears a voice that Jason allows himself to turn his head while gloved hands itch to remove the helmet. He coughs once more, attempting to regulate his breathing once the helmet is tossed behind him.

[Year Five - Gotham City - Injustce AU]
The Revenant looked down upon the fellow vigilante, a heavy sigh escaped the detective as he gave the youth a heavy pat on the back to help him cough up any more water that was possibly sitting in his system. His gaze turned to the thugs who fired the dangerous weapon to begin with now rendered unconscious and tied up. An act Church was able to pull off with ease before rescuing the Red Hood who he turned his attention to upon being thanked. The masked vigilante remained silent as Jason let out heavy pants, not really sure how to respond. He wondered if the other knew about him, possibly not. Even before the destruction of Metropolis and Superman's reign of terror Church had mostly kept to himself, rarely interacting with the other heroes. The events that transpired in the last few years only reinforced his isolating vigilantism, that was until word of the Man of Steel was finally defeated by another Superman. One from a world where Metropolis wasn't blown up, one where he didn't kill The Joker, one where this nightmare he was living in now alongside the other heroes was occurring. It was then the detective finally decide to act. Gone were the days of him acting selfish, what was going on now was far bigger than him. With the Regime collapsing a plethora of criminals started rioting all across the country in act of revenge against what Superman had done to them. Now, it currently seemed like Gotham was in a war zone and it needed all the help it could get.
The Revenant turned to Jason and took his hand, "C'mon." He told the vigilante as he pulled him up to his feet, letting Jason see the rather intimidating steel mask he wore under his hood, "The night's not over yet, we have work to do." Church gestured to the criminals to give the Red Hood an idea of what he meant.

Nightwing was doing his usual rounds around Bludhaven- mainly in search of the typical
shady trucks Penguin was using to ship his illegal stock. Normally hyped up weapons, parts to them,
chemicals. That sort of thing. So far no such luck. However... he did spot something hauntingly familiar
in an ally way as he used his grabbling hook.
Red.
"!" Once he landed Nightwing ran back to the roof's edge, climbing down to chase the 'ghost' around the corner.
He swore to himself he saw a red hood. "Jason-"
Richard called out as he looked around only finding water dripping into pools within the ally. Nightwing sighed in disappointment, looking
around a little more. Maybe he should have drank some coffee before going out tonight.. he was seeing things. Was he falling asleep on the job? Dreaming? He hoped not. It could end badly. Nightwing turned around, prepared to go back the way he came.

Jason held his breath as he listened for the other's footsteps from behind a dumpster, a feat proving to be more difficult then he thought with his current injury. Of course he'd be lucky enough to encounter Nightwing while injured. Must be those older brother instincts that brought him here. Pressing a gloved hand against the stab wound on his side, he continued to strain his hearing for anything signaling the other's exit.
On the plus side, he seemed to be alone. No Bruce or any other birdies by his side. The last thing he needed was being fussed by the entire family.

Nightwing couldn't shake the feeling he was having. Jason WAS here..
but where? He turned back around, frowning as he decided to flick on a small light
shining it around as he walked past the dumpster. When he turned the light fell on
Jason's bleeding form.
"!? Jason!? You're hurt- why didn't you say anything!" Nightwing put the light away and was at
his brothers side within moments, beginning to help him up whether the other wanted it or not.
