Metalsculptor, blacksmith and owner of NovaBelgica Art Gallery in Sint-Truiden, Belgium.My figurative work is inspired by fantasy and sci-fi, with the additional bits of steampunk, horror and goth thrown in. All sculptures are unique pieces, life size and made of mostly mild steel with bits of copper, aluminum, bronze, brass and found objects.
I have been active in the artworld since 1996 and have had the good fortune of showing my work in galleries and at events in Belgium and Holland, but also in galleries in London, Berlin, New York, Paris and Copenhagen.

Thank you all for the nice comments. As I explained to GriffinLeather, I do not spend much time on or check out Deviantart much, so this 'explosion' of comments had been rather lost on me, until now.
That doesn't mean I don't apreciate the comments. I love you all and if I ever have kids I will name them all after you or at least after the first one of you buggers who buys a damn sculpture.

Itβs quite apparent that you have neither the respect or time to respond to anyone that has commented on your work. Your work is good, but not that good. This website if for interaction. Get with the program.

I only check Deviantart from time to time and to be honest, I find it hard to navigate around this site. I find it very user-unfriendly.
You are partialy right though. I do not have time to respond to everyone who has commented on my work. And before I was apparently featured, few people did comment on my stuff. It was only when the hits on my website went through the roof that I started wondering what was going on and found out I was featured with a sculpture that has been on the site for many months.
Rest assured that I do appreciate the comments. It is nice to see how many people like my work. And yes it is good. My clients tell me this all the time. And no, it isn't that good. My competition tells me that all the time.
But no, I do not have time to respond to everyone because I am combining 3 full time jobs: artist, gallery owner/curator and blacksmith. So excuse me for not 'getting with the program'.
I do appreciate you taking the time to point this out to me though.

You responded in a way that makes me feel nothing but respect for you. Without aggression you explained your heavy work load. I respect that.
And as far as my comment about "not that good" it refers to what I thought was ignoring people (including myself)that greatly admire your work. As far as your competition telling you your work is not good. Good for you. They are probably aware that itβs much better than what they produce and they are intimidated by your command of your craft. Keep making them say that, you are doing it right.
I wish to thank you for your time in responding to me. I hope to see more of your inspiring work. You are a very talented artist, and that was never a doubt in my mind.

Haha! I was walking a friend home from the train station and we're walking through the Wildebamp and I notice this sign "Novabelgica"
