Hey Numbuh 1362, I'm Numbuh 127, Operative-Kids Next Door, (Retired). As my opening tells, I am a retired KND operative. I was retired from active service over being decommissioned. If you want, I'll explain the rest of my story later. Let me know, so write back.

Hello old friend. Been a long time since I've talked to anyone who was even formerly a Kids Next Door operative like me. It seems like once I retired, I lost almost every friend I ever had. It'd be nice if even once I could be with the KND again for one last job. As to my story, I was a member of Sector M on Earth. However, the true nature of my work within that sector was a compartmented code word secret operation that only the Supreme Leader was privy too. I led a special KND Super SWAT/Counter-Terrorism/SpecWar unit that operated under the cover identity of being Sector M. Our code designation, was Echo Platoon. Since this information remains a KND secret, I require that you also cannot discuss this disclosure with anyone outside the KND community, meaning this information at present is limited to just us. Anyway, during my time with Sector M/Echo Platoon, I was sent on an undercover assignment within the teen groups because of the fact I was nearing the decommissioning age of 13. But because it was felt it's not necessarily a good idea to change operatives during a sensitive operation, the Supreme Leader signed an authorization extending my active service for one more year, until June of 1996, six months after my 14th birthday that year. When the time came, I reported voluntarily to the Moonbase to face decommissioning. But much to my surprise, I was called into an unexpected meeting with the Supreme Leader and the entire KND leadership at the Global Command section of the Moonbase. I was informed I was viewed as having rendered the most valuable of service since I was inducted into the Kids Next Door as a 6 year old cadet. The skills I possessed and the knowledge base I had were not ones many other operatives had or likely to have. The leadership had gathered an earlier executive session and decided that they could not afford to decommission me and lose all I knew, something the KND may need again in the future. Plus if I was decommissioned, I could be manipulated into becoming a great enemy of the Kids Next Door. I could with my skills actually destroy the entire operation and kill many operatives. They could't allow me to fall into the hands of evil. But I had been ill towards the end of my active career, so I wasn't able to be offered a chance to join the Teen Operatives component, Teens Next Door. I was thus offered a special alternative option to decommissioning and losing my memories. I was offered retirement from active service in the Kids Next Door both by reason of over-age and poor health. I would be allowed to retain my memories and remain commissioned, but I would be moved into the section of the operatives records for inactive operatives with a file stamp of RETIRED. And as part of my retirement agreement, I had to sign a binding contract that everything I have seen and heard in the KND, all memories of my actions as an operative and my knowledge would remain a sealed secret, almost comparable to the church Seal of the Confessional. I could not discuss my actions or my other KND memories with anyone who was not an active or former operative still actively commissioned and available to the KND. I can only discuss this much with either an active operative or with a fellow retired operative like you. I assume that you were never decommissioned, but retired like me. The blessing of my retired operative status is I still retain my KND membership even as an adult, I retained my KND member ID card although it was re-issued with "Operative-Retired" under my Numbuh and name. As a retired operative, I remain a potential asset to the KND and I said on my last day to the Supreme Leader after I signed the retirement agreement that I would be KND for life. I would be back again if ever my skills and my knowledge were needed. I been with the KND all my life. All I did ask as a personal request was my retired operative status still allow me access to visit my old Sector M base and all the other KND bases including the Arctic Base and the Moonbase. I was granted all I asked for. I still retained my operative privileges even in retirement. I said as I headed to the shuttlebay to head back home to Earth that I've been with the KND all my life. Been there, Done that, and I'm willing to do it again. I hope one day, Numbuh 1362 that we are called back to action. If the KND does give you a call to action, will you answer the charge? I will.

PS-I was given a recent assignment by the current Supreme Leader to form a reserve group consisting of former operatives felt worthy of staying with the Kids Next Door as retired operatives. The Retired Reserve would be operatives retired and some formerly decommissioned operatives who've been located and recommissioned, then changed to retired operative status and offered the chance to be working with the Retired Reserve. We train in current tactics and SWAT/SpecWar tactics, as I did with my former command of Sector M/Echo Platoon. The Retired Reserve would be called up and our commissions reactivated in cases of extreme emergency where the active operatives alone or even with the help of the Teens Next Door cannot handle the crisis. I even had recommissioned Numbuh 0, Nigel's father Monty Uno. He agreed to remain recommissioned, as did his wife Numbuh 999. They are both now retired operatives attached to the KND Retired Reserve. In fact, Numbuh 0 is now even my Second-In-Command of the Retired Reserve. What I want to know is, would you be interested in joining the Retired Reserve and coming back ready to help the KND again? I think us retired operatives still have something to offer. Please accept, will you? Write back if you will soon.

You could just simply send me a message saying you would like to accept being appointed into the Kids Next Door Retired Reserve. I assume, since you remember being in the KND that you were never decommissioned. That makes things eaisier. You'll just be relisted as "Retired" in the database and the classified details will say "Transferred to KND Retired Reserve." Let me know what you wish.
