Forgot to mention, tomorrow I'll be coming out with... An animation! That is... If it ever finishes rendering. 22 minutes in and it's just starting the 7th frame. It's not even to the hard part yet.

Hmm, as far as I know, CAD is made by Autodesk, same company that made 3Ds Max, right? My suggestion to you is to try 3Ds, as it should have much in common with CAD, hence it'd be easy for you to adapt to its environment. Of course, I'm unaware of C4D's capabilities, so I may be talking nonsense.
On a separate note, concerning your comment in my page about ZBrush, I can only say what everyone else would. Don't give up. Try to make a humanoid robot (not an exact human replica), see how it comes out, and you'll be one step closer to making humen. I'm doing the same thing and feel kinda more confident now.

CAD is made by autodesk! I have tried 3DS max when I took a college class... Didn't particularly like it then, but I do remember the 4 windowed view, which CAD doesn't have... And I'm starting to love about Cinema 4D, so, maybe I'll give it a try.
