US TimTams as far as I have seen only come in the regular chocolate biscuit, chocolate cream, chocolate coating...or the same but with the bit of caramel in them. Arnott makes them, but they are distributed over here by Pepperidge Farms...they ship them from over there to here and PF packages them and sells them. Same cookies, but it has both the Arnott and Pepperidge Frams name on them.
The tea is fantastic, wonderfully strong and robust... a little sugar and milk is not going to spoil something that potent. I am going to start pestering Twinings about marketting it in the States

Mojo, sugar in tea is an abomination! The tea started out as a limited edition, but they made it permanent. If harassing Twinings doesn't work and you run out, let me know. I'll set you up.

I've always drank sugar in my tea... although now I use considerably less than when I was a kid. To me a bit of sugar enhances the natural sweetness tea already has...honey on the other hand I find to be to heavy and having too much flavour of it's own...which I think overpowers the tea. Sugar really doesn't have much of a flavor unless you eat it straight or use way way too much in something.
I had no idea how relatively new the Aussie Afternoon tea was, but

I don't usually sweeten any of my drinks unless they are really bad/bitter and I need to disguise the taste. I will sometimes have a bit of honey in coffee, or a shot of hazelnut syrup. I like my drinks fairly milky, especially coffee. If I go out for coffee I usually have a latte or a flat white.

I started drinking tea when I was fairly young, maybe 5 or so. Which might be commonplace in other countries...but was probably seen as a little odd in the States in the mid 70s. Because of that, I used a good bit of sugar in my tea. I hated plain water, and my parents went through this phase with me before my brothers were born... they didn't buy a lot of soda or sweetened cereal, or much in the way of sweets at all.... Once my younger brother was at an age where he could actually partkae in that kind of stuff...much of the attempts to keep the house at a sugar low went out the window.... At any rate, the habit to sweeten my tea stuck. Old habits die hard! Although, the amount of sugar I put in my tea bgack then would likely sweeten 3 or 4 cups of my tea now. My coffee...rare that it be, that I even drink it any more...another matter completely. I have to use way too much sugar and milk, to drink it... My tea, the amount of milk varys on the brew.... the more robust, the more milk I use.
