I'm dropping by to say hello; in case you're curious as to where I stumbled upon you, it was from ff.net.
I looked through your gallery and I really like the pictures that you've taken! Wonderful job! Did you visit Japan or do you live there?
Oh - and the reading list in your profile has some books I'll definitely try to get a hold of. Thanks for the tips!

I have gone to Japan twice. My nephew lived in Kyoto with his Japanese wife and I stayed with them. All told, I've spent 5 weeks there. Never got as far as Tokyo, though. Shikoku and Kansai, mainly.
Glad that the book list was of use.

That sounds amazing. You must have had a wonderful time there. Which seasons did you go in? Spring? It's so nice at that time of year.

The first time I went, it was spring. The second time was early fall--not many of the leaves had turned yet. Yes, I loved it both times. The longer you stay, the more comfortable you get....

But the more you stay... the harder it is to leave. Which is sad because any visitor is simply, well, visiting. Although, the memories are nice to think back on once gone.

I like the sky too! Every day I take my time to look at it! My friends think I am not 100 % sane, when I explain them! They ain't know nothing, right!?
Last time the sun was going down at one end and the full moon (larger than usual) was already up, it was amazing I have never seen something like that! I wished I had a digital camera that time, and since I was travelling home by bus, I would have got off, just to take a picture! But i didn't have a camera (Damn!)!

If I don't have a camera (and usually I don't), I'll write it down in as descriptive a fashion as I can so that I'll remember it.
Sky watchers (and moon watchers) get to enjoy part of life that other people miss.
