# About me
Hey, welcome to my humble profile.I'm a former biology teacher from Bosnia, and have been a fan of the Pokemon franchise since it first came out (I was a very young child back then). I've always been interested in the evolution and various colorful adaptations of living organisms, kind of seeing their adaptation and survival as mother nature's art. I don't consider myself a skilled artist, but I passionately enjoy creating cool Fakemon concepts and explaining the various characteristics and adaptations that would help these creatures exist in a fantasy world not too different from our own.
The current region I'm working on is Acuma, which is a world where the traditional and old collide with the modern and new. I touch upon issues of scientific and technological progress, humanity's rise to dominance, and their overall effect on the environment. Though these advances allow people to more closely study and understand Pokemon on a scientific level, this brings up the question of whether we are truly familiarizing ourselves better with these creatures, or are we just objectifying them and trying to categorize them so we can potentially exploit their abilities for our own gain and progress. I try to add a lot of grey morality into my backstories, creating subjects and issues that have both good and bad sides, explaining both sides of the argument. This region is also full of Pokemon reserves, which act as protected national parks, but still with an ambiguous morality mixed in. Are we truly trying to help these species survive, or are we trying to help ourselves expand as a species? Would these species even need help if it wasn't for us? Are we actually harming them more by isolating them from the natural connections between different ecosystems?
Anyway, my artwork may be a bit mediocre, but I hope you can appreciate the love and passion I show through the descriptions and concept origins explained in full detail. And sorry for not adding metagame info (abilities, stats, movepools), I'm really not into competitive stuff and love Pokemon because of very different reasons.
