re: "Steampunk"

As I understand it, the current "Steampunk" phenomenon is loosely built around the, "what if" premise of a World having never moved beyond an economy and technology based on the steam power of the 19th century. It also has a kind of post-apocalyptic feel combined with a sort of "Gothy", Jules Verne twist to it. BTW... Your latest image: "Sky Captain and the Golden Fish", would fit right in! Those involved seem to have a lot of fun with it! We now have an annual Steampunk festival here in our little Victorian seaside town that attracts all kinds of "interesting" characters!
