It's okay. Just a lot of people find it disrespectful. When they see a new message they think "oh great a new comment on my art" or "a message from an old friend" etc and instead they get chain mail.
I'm not telling you to be mean just to warn you that continue somebody will report you eventually and your page will end up being closed down.
