Mao smirked, satisfied with himself that he got the lady -- Flonne, if he'd heard correctly -- to shut her trap. He was given the chance to go on and taunt her a bit, as she failed to do anything about the subject changing.

Flonne stood attempting to correct her posture and to seem more calm then she was, but she failed a bit. Normally, if she had been the same as her angel self, she would have politely tried said that she enjoyed Laharl's presence, however...
"Ahhh! He's. he's.. your father! And I'm your mother. SO, that means YOU'RE the offspring!" she pointed rather dramatically at him and giggled, regaining some of her confidence, but also not realizing what she had just said.

Poor guy didn't realize that in all his frustration, he had just admitted to being the 'biological' child of Flonne and Laharl. Even though Laharl was younger than him, which... made no sense at all. But, since when did Disgaea have to make any sense?

"But. You said you were our child. and. I've never done anything with Laharl to um. make you. so. that means you're adopted." she stated simply. It was unsure whether she herself really believed this or not.
