got back our first out-of-class essay today. got a C. he hated it. I've no idea what to do..I think I've always been too confident in my writing to realize it sucks. I'm so upset

DDD: your writing doesnt suck! and... failing isnt so bad... unless you get all stressed about it like i did, and then you get physical and mental problems such as severe depression and suicidal tendencies, frequent headaches, hallucinations and sleep deprivation, malnutrition, severely painful stomach and bowel problems (such as constant bloating, colon pains, nausea, etc.), and poor hygiene.
if you dont worry so much itll be fine. but...try not to fail anyway...

fanart is much easier to do than other stuff, because all the characters, outfits, personalities and background stuff is set for you, so a lot of people get sucked into it and have a hard time progressing out of it. Personally, I like having a nice balance of both.. I try to do as much original art as possible, but sometimes fanart is a good way to get out of art block or just a good time filler.. however I think its necessary to not do it all the time. Otherwise you lose your originality. c:
