On every Deviant's profile, towards the upper right hand corner, there is a button that says "+DeviantWatch". If you press it, it will add that artist to a list of people you can watch regularly...

I just mean has anyone ever asked you to create a piece of work for them and sell it to them privately not through deviant? does that make sense?

No one has asked me to make them something and offered to pay me, though my friends in real life often ask for stuff, yes.
