Could you explain how you do your lineart? Do you trace over the scanned work, and do you make a new layer over the original? I'm not quite sure what's wrong either, but I'll try my best to help

No problem,thanks for replying.Yes I trace over a scanned image,using the curve tool,yes I make a new line art layer over the scanned image.So after I trace the image,I save the pic,and close sai-for a break or whatever.But when I ope sai,and open the same line art,then make a new layer,drag it to thebuttom of the line art layer,then start to colour,I can't see any colour,only in the smaal layer icon I can see the color,I have no idea what's going on.But if I draw lines with whatever,make a new layer,then colour-it works.So far,the only soloution I see,is starting and fininshing a piece in one go

Oh my lord I'm so sorry for the late reply once again! I'm not sure if you still need it, but do you save the picture as a .sai file when you take breaks? Also, another solution for coloring is to place coloring layers on top instead of on the bottom, except you have to set them to multiply BEFORE you color (it might make your colors slightly darker, though).

It's okay,thanks for replying,save as a sai file,never thought about that,I'll give it a try.Oh but when I save a piece,I see a bunch of options in another language,don't understand everything in the options

Ah, I see D: When you save it, it should already be set to save as a .sai file, but it's possible that yours was saved as a .jpg or .png or something else like that. If that happens, then your layers are no longer separated and your picture is no longer transparent so nothing will show up if it is underneath. Hope this helps a bit!
