i. It had been a long day and all that Ryan wanted to do now was to get wasted and maybe pick up someone to bring home. For fun or for a meal was something he'd have to decide there. He was headed to the local bar that was literally steps from his apartment building.

ii. Most vampires didn't live in one spot, no, but Ryan wasn't most vampires. With the years he'd been living here, he'd never once been caught in a hunt. He would have to say that he was pretty damned safe in that department. Everything he needed was here, so why the hell would he move?

iii. He walked right into the bar, finding it somewhat busy but bearable. Ryan slid onto a bar stool beside the other, ordering a drink. He noticed the other's empty glass and he smirked softly, ordering for his neighbor as well.

iv. He eye'd him, looking him up and down. "Hey there, darlin'," he greeted,"What's a handsome fella like you doing in a place like this all alone?~"

i. dean starts as the guy sitting next to him actually talks to him; it's not unusual but he certainly wasn't expecting it. then again, maybe he felt the same; dean was starting to feel rather awkward sitting next to the guy for over an hour. he had immersed himself in his phone (looking at the new 'what in tarnation' memes, how do people come up with this sort of stuff), and tried to ignore his companion.
ii. it had worked so far, and as the minutes wore on he had gradually started to relax, even going so far as to put his phone down for a minute and just lean up against the bench, sighing out and marveling at how warm it was today compared to yesterday-
iii. when of course, this is when the person decides to speak to him. then again, he might have spoken up no matter what, but dean blames it on himself for putting his phone down. why. BUT, he is naturally curious, and so he turns slightly to lean in as well, only briefly glancing at his companion rather than at the paper.
❝ aliens, really? aren't they blaming everything on the aliens right now? ❞iv. dean's tone is amused, though not skeptical, and a slightly bit enthused. he isn't one for conspiracy theories all the time, but it is interesting to think about. and besides, if aliens saw the hell that is this planet, of course they wouldn't ever come here.
