# About me
I started modelling with blender in 2016. Out of many, the LowPoly Artstyle quickly became my favourite and nowadays i mostly make LowPoly Pictures. My Youtube channel: www.youtube.com/channel/UCJTDg…

Hey, sorry to bother you here but this is a image of what I was talking about. If I select the arrows to get to the drop down menu their is nothing here.

That looks different from what it should be. There should be a CUDA button right next to none. What GPU do you have? Perhaps try updating your GPU-driver if you haven't already.

I did a driver update for it but it did not change anything. I dunno under display options on my system information it just has Intel(R) HD graphics card listed. I guess I will just make the blenderrender engine work aha until I can get a new computer. Thanks for your help though I really appreciate it.

Intel HD graphics are usually integrated in the CPU and only active if you don't have a normal graphics card.

I just found your page and I too recently picked up Blender as a hobby. It was about October of 2016 for me though and I did not get serious about it till about January. I have been teaching myself through tutorials and workbooks while doing college.
It has been pretty hard trying to balance between the two but I find your work very inspiring. I would also like to start learning rigging to do create better animations than my current ones.
I really enjoy creating scenes in blender but I cannot use cycles since my CPU cannot handle it and my graphics card isn't supported by blender. So I get unmotivated when trying to create realism in scenes.
I also got into a habit while learning the program where instead of modeling hard things I stuck to simple shapes so I also cannot model weird cool complex objects yet. I need to start trying to break myself from that.
That is just some of the things that get me down when creating things in Blender so I want to tell you I love your work and can tell you put a lot of time in it and want to thank you for the inspiration and motivation that gives me to get past my blockades.
Hope to see more of your work.

Hi there!
Thank you very much for the kind comment! I am very happy, that i am an inspiration to you.
If you want to get into rigging i can recommend you this playlist by Sebastian Lague:
www.youtube.com/playlist?list=…
I learned the basics of rigging with these videos.
I had the same problem with my GPU too! Until about a week ago the new blender version came out and my GPU was finally supported.
What graphics card do you use? Because chances are that your GPU will be supported with the new blender version 2.78. If you haven't updated yet you could try and see if you graphics card is now supported.
You should't worry about only creating simple objects. That's the best way to learn the program. Don't force yourself into creating difficult objects, that will come with time
If you have any questions or want some feedback, feel free to message me. I would be happy to help you! (Although i am not a pro by any means so do that at your own risk )
Thanks again! and have a nice day.

You are very welcome. I wasn't aware they updated it but 2.78 is the version I think I have been using and well when checking my system information it says just Intel(R) HD graphics. So idk if it supports it or not but their is no option when trying to change it in the blenders file menu thing. I was at where you change it to use GPU but the only option their was CPU.
I will try the update though and see if that works. Thanks for those tutorials I will watch them and check them out. I have dome some rigging it is just hard for me to wrap my head around and I can't use the dope graph sheet thing for the life of me lol. This week is my last week of work before finals though so hopefully I will have some time to practice.
Thank you very much for your help and advice. It is rlly much appreciated.
Thanks again and you have a great day too.

You should be able to select your GPU regardless if it is supported or not.
Did you change the "Cycles Compute device" from none to "CUDA" in the System tab of the user preferences? Because if not blender wont allow you to render with your GPU.
This is what you need to select: imgur.com/viup5ub

That is what I mean, In the system preference under the system tab and under compute device the only thing that is there to select is the CPU and nothing else. Their is no other options there.
