That's a shame. I've never had a class with him, but I don't hear too many good things.
You should take Dillon McDaniel, Steven Mosch, Zig Jackson, Craig Stevens, Tim Keating, Katherine Cardarelli, and Jaclyn Cori. Those are my favorites. Craig, Dillon, and Tim especially. Take Craig Stevens for Photo History if you get the chance!

Awesome. I have Lynn Wright for next quarter. None of the teachers available had good ratings sadly. I've heard good things about Jackson. Thanks for the advice!

Dixon is just over opinionated, especially for a beginning photography course. He has very dry humor that everyone hates. Grades very harsh and never has good things to say in critique.

I just woke up from a crazy dream and had to come to the computer to write it down.
Anyway-- Don't worry too much about Lynn. I had her for Foundations II because when they re-wrote the Photo curriculum last year a lot of us were forced to take early classes again since they (were supposed to) cover different stuff than we learned.
I didn't mind her so much as a person, she just didn't teach me anything new, and certainly didn't really help the freshmen all that much. I just used it as a portfolio-building class and did a series. She's very sarcastic which can be a good time in class if you stay on her good side.
If you have trouble with anything in that class, let me know. Haha.
We should hang out or something.

Dixon and Lynn back-to-back; just please don't base your opinion of our photo program off those two. There are so many waaaaay better profs in Bergen.
That said, once you've had the bad ones, the good ones seem all that much better!

I know most photo foundation teachers aren't great so im trying not to base my opinion off of that. I know the school has a great photography program, I'm anxious to get into good classes.

We should hang out, i don't know any photo majors that aren't freshman, it would be nice to.

I found that I was able to develop many new skills and talents just by learning from others and your self on here.
