Good lord, you insane woman! But I can imagine projects at RISD must be really demanding. When are you finished with school then? I got back 2 weeks ago and I've been bumming around. Bummish bum bum bummity.
Hannah A's coming back this Friday so I'll be seeing her but otherwise...I'm off to Japan in a little bit! If you're here later in June or anytime in July we should get together!!!!

I love your work. I love the way with some of your pieces you seem to wrap the light around the figures rather than just draw them, and it gives them this brilliant glow. I also really like the elegance of much of your work. I'll look forward to seeing more.

Thank you for such a considered response! I was really lucky to have Eleanor Lazarek as a drawing teacher last semester (she being a student of Victor Lara [link] ) , and she really taught us a thing or two about light, tonal passages, and seeing the figure abstractly. We always work in this really murky dark room lit only by whatever daylight seeps through the windows.
Wrapping the light 'round the figures was big for showing the volume.

Keep up the good work, I'll look forward to seeing more of your work. The reason I mentioned the lighting was because it's what often grabs my attention about people's drawings, and something I have trouble ephisising.
