hahaah almost!
I'm stationed here, so I kinda have no choice.
They've actually come a long way. They even have a Panera Bread! AND apparently they are building a Buffalo Wild Wings, so that's very exciting. ::rolls eyes::

There are about 50 burger kings on post -of course. But I must say, it IS better than Lawton here.

lol! lol! lol! if your are staying in I was told that once you were station there that you always got sent back, to that hell hole. winters are nothing but ice and cold. We use to rent boats and motors from the PX in the summer and go to the rivers get drunk and run up and down the rivers, sink the boats and just raise hell, for something to do. well at least you go some place to eat besides the messhall there use to be a drive in place on the left just of base where you could get something to eat that was about it.

lol, I'm trying to commission, so hopefully I'll inevitably gtfo of here. Although it's not so bad anymore... bored soldiers just get into barfights, mess with nasty nasty ladies from Louie's, or any of the such instead of destroying PX boats nowadays... me, I'm lame and boring, so I just stay at home and create the debauchery in the safety of my own humble abode.
It's for sure though, the BWW is gonna be full of idiots , so we'll see how long it takes before it becomes a safe place to eat at. I choke on wings when I'm surrounded by silly trainees, so y'know.
BUT ANYWAY, yeah I'm just gonna get back to my exciting life in the midwest.

midwest thats where i come from i was born and raised in Indiana, spent most of my life in lafayette before i went in the military, but got so sick an tired of that cold weather i started moving south west, and then i ended up here in Tucson, learned to love it and just never left, guess i'll stay. well good luck with your commission hope you get it.

hah, I'm originally Colombian but I've lived in the northeast (NY/NJ) since I was 13... I LOVE the cold, so that isn't what makes me sad. It's the heat that used to get to me, but ever since I've been in the military it doesn't really bug me as much as it used to. [:

I hear Tucson is nice. A guy I know from NJ LOVES it. I've never been, but I'd like to check it out. Seeing how diverse and crazy extreme the US is is one of my favorite things. I find it amazing you can find so many different kinds of terrain and weather in the same country... but then again, it's so huge it's not really a wonder.
