Thanks for contacting me about this concerning issue. I understand where you're coming from as I've personally wondered why other groups have declined my work. A certain standard is a phrase that we imply to our members that has unfortunately been misunderstood. Art is not something that cannot truly be explained in words. Please take a look at the submitted pieces that marvels you and you will have an idea.

By no means do we dare be prejudice to our valued members. Besides, we do not have any manner of knowing who our members truly are since we all present ourselves with pseudonymous names.

Please do not allow such mishaps to stop you from your passion. Great artists receive setbacks and must preserve. It would dishearten me to see you give up submitting your work - and ultimately, art - because you've had a few declines in a row.

I wish to see you flourish as an artists and person.

I have looked through the galleries and I KNOW my photo's are of a better standard than some of those in the galleries. My photo's have won competitions and have even been shown on TV a number of times (national TV not local). So explain why it is that its not acceptable to your group !!

I was not upset by the fact that my art was not accepted it was when I asked 'why it was not accepted' and my question was deleted so I reposted the question and got blocked from the group

as for this stopping me from doing anything ...I laugh

Hi Aaron,

I've been through you gallery and quite like your work, so this is surprising to me.

There are many of us on the team and we all approve/disapprove works. Under the dA group system, it's impossible to find out where a comment regarding disapproval came from (ie. what work). 100s, if not 1000s, get reviewed everyday. Hence, if one person disapproved your work, we wouldn't know who it was and the person may not remember.

A lot of members attempt to submit works at a subpar standard. It would be impossible to answer every question, not just by the dA group system not allowing us to know, yet we would consequently spend more time arguing with members than curating works for all to take pleasure in. That's why we have a rule that we don't answer such questions. Attempted asking will be classed as spam (I'm not saying it is, but we have a uniform system that applies to everyone).

By no means does it stop you, and I hope being blocked doesn't.

You're most welcome. It's unfortunate for this to happen to you. I'm doing what I can, however, I can't actually answer why.
