Lol so glad I passed the test. 

The problem I have is this world is just too entertaining, I think if I lived in a mud hut in Afghanistan I'd get a lot more done.

My project is a comic too! As if it wasn't challenging enough to draw a comic, I had to make myself write one too

But I think ultimately it's going to be a lot more rewarding since it's mine all mine. My characters, my world, my story. Just got to actually get down and do it!

hooray! and ahah yes, writing isn't the fun part... I started with an outline for my original one, then kinda made a script for it.

I'm working on the drawing part for an amazing writer though at the same time, but its a lot of fun because he let me design the characters and scenery based off of little description. So, it's quite an amazing thing to work with a writer

But yes! I'd like to see your main characters! I'll show you mine, though they are do for some alterations >.o

I'd love to see what you've got so far. It's always nice to share work with someone, gives me more motivation to draw knowing someone is going to look at it

My comic is a kind of post-apocalyptic super hero tale chock full of despicable villains and monsters along with a small dash of mythology.  It's either going to be awesome, awful, or somewhere in between

Hmmm well..  I have an entire first issue, and half of the second. Problem is... They were drawn way back in my freshman year of high school... So I'm re-doing my old comic

My comic is called 4D, The Nova Zone.

It involves another existence of reality where every person has a sort of super power. All the souls that die in this existence either get re-born or if bad souls, get a body of horrible pain and have to suffer. (Very hellish and most aren't human.)

Her death was accidental, but she killed a few other women in secret to be with Eric. She's pretty crazy.. Now she's generally a pacifist, but protects Eric if anyone threatens him. Her mother, Despair th eGhost horse, is the same way, though a thousand times more cynical.

And of course! Just as I would like to read yours!

Thank GOD you understand that XD I was trying to explain it to a co-worker, earlier, in fact. Like.... I can't think in regular patterns, ya know? It's one thing, the next, the next, then back to the first thing and repeat. Makes it incredibly hard to do math, or other seemingly easy and normal functions @__@

Have you figured out a way of using it yet? This is a part of why I'm trying to write something complete. I figure if I can actually get myself to sit down and write then I might come up with something half decent and unique, but so far I just think of another idea and go with that, then another, then another, until I have 5 or 10 things on the go at once and it's completely unmanageable - story of my life!

Not entirely. A huge key to it though, I've found is to have a highly respected mentor brutally push you into doing things. I had a teacher make me do projects within a horribly small time limit.... I'd do one draft, she'd say, "Great! now do a second one, but this time increase your shading here, or figures there...perspective, etc." Frustrating and defeated, I set out to show that teacher that I COULD indeed, impress her with my work. Every time I showed her the new piece, teeth set in a huge grin, she'd smile, and shoot me down again until the piece finally had in fact improved.

Ah so we're back to the bullying technique, it's super effective! 

I did an online environment design class a while back with a concept artist that I hugely respect, so I know what you mean - the deadlines were killer but it really forces you to quit messing around and just DO IT. I think just someone/anyone looking at your work and giving feedback is really encouraging but especially so if they know what theyre talking about.

Exactly! All of what you just said! It is fantastic to get feedback.. Of course starting with the positive things, and THEN stating what someone could work on. The people that just dog on your work with no positivity don't even deserve to look at it.

Those people suck. Goes with all aspects of life I suppose, some people just like to point out others' shortcomings, makes them feel better about themselves.  But they tend to be the ones who don't take any risks or ever step out of their comfort zones for fear of being criticized themselves. 

As the quote goes: "if you want to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid", whoever said that was pretty smart
