Do you know how much crap there is on the internet? Someone saying they have a terminal disease is ranked up there with claiming to be a vampire, anymore. It might be true that this one person does, but one person, out of the thousands that make the claim, will not be treated any differently by me. Yeah, but... She has several people IRL that are on dA, YouTube, and other places, that back her up. People with pictures and easily found stuff that prove they're not all the same person. She's sick, no doubt. And she doesn't tell just anyone--just close friends, and, well...people that piss her off. She'll be pretty mad when she knows we told, but eh.

A thousand is conservative estimate. Hell, I was homeless once because of lies told to me on the net. I got over it.

I could tell you what I know of her condition. I didn't believe her for awhile myself, especially when she didn't know the name of it--just the symptoms and the infected organs. But when I went and looked it up, I drilled her on things, throwing out bad info to see if she'd bite, but she didn't, and started telling me details and what not of what she'd gone through. It was...oddly refreshing. That might make me sound like an uber-bitch--saying her illness was refreshing for me--but it was refreshing because she sounded like an honest person.

I've known her since I joined dA, and I've never known her to lie. And her kindness gets her in more trouble than honestly aiding others--yet she keeps doing it. I don't get it...

SO, maybe I'm a little white knight-ish when it comes to her, or one other person on dA, but that's just because of the kinds of people they are. I'm usually more trollish than helpful.

Well, let's evaluate from a perspective other than our own:
She isn't the most observant, to be honest, so I doubt she noticed the date. It was one of the most recent comments made on the d-bag's profile, and as she's pretty popular on dA, she more than likely assumed it was new, because she didn't have to go search for it or anything.
She has been needlessly harassed by him lately, literally out of no where, when she didn't even know him before hand, and he randomly came to her profile. Even a good troll doesn't pick people at random--they find a comment they've made, and poke at it. Ergo, she thought you might be having the same issue she had: random assholery.
She didn't know you were an ass, and thought, via your comment, you were a more considerate person, like herself, who had been dicked by this duke of dicks, so she tried to help.
