Seeing "Deviation in Storage" in my favorites tears the DA happiness right out of my heart! Please don't do it! Truly the bane of many a connoisseur, outmatched only by outright deletion. On my honour, I vow I shall never of my own free will compromise the integrity and accessibility of my gallery, for better or worse. We need a stamp for that.
Unless Kate Beaton calls me up and says I'm infringing her copyright, in which case all those icons are forfeit.

Well........you see....... I'm old. I'm so old I remember when these were first on the internet. As a matter of fact, before the internet really got off its feet, these were called "chain letters" ... and they were actual letters.
On actual paper.
Which people actually mailed.
Yeah, so... no.
They were bad then, and they haven't improved. See how it's built off the principle that "someone forced me to do this, so I'm forcing others to do this" ? That's also how pyramid schemes work. Look, it even has a quota. Now, to throw in a bit more juice, these usually come with guilt, which is the part that really bothers me. You're not loved unless you get back 7? What kind of person comes up with this stuff? NOT a person who just wants to spread hugs and love, that's for sure.
I understand some people just do it because they don't think about it and they find it fun. That's fine.Β But, are you really okay with guilt tripping friends and strangers into setting themselves up for a perceived societal judgement that they're not loved? The internet is FILLED with lonely people who lack social skills. Are you okay with adding even just a tiny bit more irrational doubt to their already crumbling self-esteem?
Have you ever edited one? If you don't like the parameters, you can change them. You can just delete the guilt part! Otherwise - you're not asking people to participate for fun, you're attempting to mentally pressure them into participating.
Just a thought.

You're very welcome! It really is an awesome poem; it has just the right amount of ponification, - a lot of pony references but still close enough to the original to be a good spin-off! Plus, it was actually very readable in Samuel L. Jackson's voice, which is very important!
