tons of art sturfss that I haven't posted on here~ I've been getting into watercolors again, which sucks cuz my scanner makes everything come out like crap...

Lol. I've been drawing alot lately. I'm kind of on an art kick. I think it's really just so I can avoid feeling like I'm working so hard. I'm my parent's housemaid until I find a real job. =_=UU My computer's broke so I'm like, "Want. tablet." but I can't use it till it's fixed. Been scanning sketches and posting without editing.

omghhh I've been reading a bunch of super deep, impressive (thematically) mangas... they discourage me about my own story ^_^;; I really have to get better at drawing the upper bodies of males though... grahhh i wish davis would let me take figure drawing first year +_+

YAY. My computer's working again for the first time in almost a year. Males are pretty easy. I always draw out square pectorals and a clavicle first, then it makes it easy to do the shoulders and belly. Boys are easy because they're pretty flat and smooth.

bu-but i try to make the most youthful, bishounen everrrr which makes me end up erasing over and over until their bodies are perfect -=v=-....
I also draw pretty scrawny guys~

Skinny guys are easy. They have long, slender lines, like pulled taffy. It's huge old muscular guys that are the hardest. They're like, blocky. Like minecraft characters almost. I like to draw young bodies, but old men's faces are the most fun to draw.

Yeah. I hate that. Alot of my characters look like, really uncomfortable lately. Like, stage fright. I think it's because I'm drawing while I'm stressed.

Yeah... It always seems ridiculous, but I take drawings with positions I like and then draw lines and ball joints over them so I know how to start sketching my own characters that way, too. It helps alot!!

I always have ideas, but I suck so bad at paneling them. Took me DAYS to get the two pages drawn and inked that I have up and they aren't even toned yet and there are no speech bubbles yet either. I have NO motivation.

Yeah. I get lazy with backgrounds, too. I wish I was an awesome mangaka and I had background lackeys to do that stuff for me. Bisco Hatori has people just to do the Host Club backgrounds. X(

Lol. I suck at drawing digitally. Not enough control for me. My tablet is like, basic. Kind of rudimentary. I have a teeeny little bamboo fun tablet and it's pretty worn out.

It's hard for me, because it's like, my hands are too fat to use it very well. That and it has a pressure sensitive pen that effs up my lines. >.👍: 0 ⏩: 1
