So, a character who's a Hiragi? I recommend reading the manga about when Guren was younger, because it reveals more about the Hiragi family's history and some of Shinoa's backstory.

That should help give you some incidents to pick from that could help form your OC's character and personality, and how they learned to fight or what their abilities might be. I would try to avoid making them too OP.

I usually look to TV and the internet for inspiration when it comes to hair and clothes.

Something I do sometimes, is that I'll go to the website for a clothing store I think that character might shop at and look at the sample outfits their models are wearing for inspiration.
