Exactly. I think it got worse as twitter, youtube grew, it became more about likes/watches on here. I see some pages where people are constantly thanked for the watch every 2 minutes.
Not really. I haven't renewed in a year or so. On your page on the right if I remember it should say edit, you can drag no drop plates (I forget what they are called) or rearrange some to a certain area. If you buy a sub, you can add a few more, like have a unique journal, see who has visited your page, customize it more.
If I remember it's only 25$ a year (unless they've went up) and if you're a active member like I used to be, it's worth it.
