as far as pointers, i don't really have any lol.. i basically play around w/ shapes and materials. i recommend the simple & fast > mirror and just play w/ colors, lights, etc..
move your view around until something awesome comes up... i'm sure you know most of this, but that's all i can really tell ya lol... gl
