Some advice: read the full description below deviations before you pester the artist with questions. I have had statements clearly saying that I do NOT make pipe foxes to sell under those deviations for months and I still get someone asking for one every couple of weeks. It gets really really old.

I read the artists comments. I saw that it said you do NOT sell them ONLINE.. i was just curious about what price you would say is reasonable for one, not specificly YOURS. Sorry if my question was anoyying to you.

Uh, look, normally I'd give you some benefit of the doubt for bad phrasing, but you did specifically ask how much 'one of those pipe foxes I made would cost'. I don't know what you expected to be told except 'irrelevant as there's none for sale'. Online or not is pretty much meaningless when I haven't made any to sell anywhere since 2007.

If you meant to ask what someone else might consider a reasonable price, can't really help you there either. Like all amateur hand-made goods, they're worth whatever whoever makes and sells one decides is reasonable for work involved plus the cost of materials in their locality. I've seen plush toys of similar complexity for sale for anything from five bucks to fifty. *shrug*

Thanks, it sure ate enough of my life leading up to the con.

The armour on the arms I made out of craft foam sealed with layers of glue, attaching each piece to the sleeve separately so they could move over each other. All the plates on the arm are very much three-dimensional shapes and they're all slightly different sizes (and colours!) too, just to complicate things, so it took a few draft tries to get the shape and scale right. I might still be able to find some of the templates I used if you'd like them, since I scanned them into the computer to resize. I actually didn't have too much trouble with the armour (certainly much easier than the shoes, which were the real headache), but I've been making craft foam armour for years. The keyblade... well, damn. The best advice I could give on that is to track down a friend of a friend who 1) owns his own cellar full of professional woodworking machinery, 2) actually likes being brought weird and wonderful projects to help out with, and for preference 3) will pull ridiculous numbers of hours to help you finish it when it turns out you aren't going to have time to do so yourself. Seriously, I am vastly indebted to the help of someone with years of woodworking experience that that key got made at all. It took us a couple of sessions just to figure out *how* to get it to work - lots of complicated angles and pieces that had to be pre-cut by machine, glued on to the base form and sanded down to hide the joins, plus an awful lot of carving on the hilt. I'm not sure 'some advice' would really cover it.

It's great to hear from you (especially considering how I completely failed to get contact details from you at the time ). Yep, risachantag's my sister, though what with me leaving you with my sword and runing back and forth through the traders hall, I don't think we ever got to show you our table during the day, did we?

I had great fun with the shoot too. Still have to get around to uploading some of the pictures. I'm really ridiculously behind with updating this account.

We don't get to do a lot of cons outside of Perth, but I hope so too. <3

Yay! Let me know if you'll be at any of the upcoming cons this year :3. I didn't realise the Perth one was so early in the year! I'll definitely try to make WaiCon in 2012. I'm pretty much using this year as first year finishing/out of uni to try to make all the conventions in Australia I can.

Hey! I've been good, got our Supanova coming up in a couple of weeks and we just had a huge Avatar photoshoot on the weekend, so keeping plenty busy with the costume related stuff.

Still not sure about interstate cons this year. We're probably not doing Manifest again and Smash isn't quite worth the trip for just the one day, but we've talked about maybe trying to get to the Sydney Animania in September. I'll drop you a note if or when we figure that out of sure. Be nice to see you in Perth for Wai-con either way - I'm probably biased seeing as it's our own home con, but I can highly recommend it.

Oh awesome! Yeah, saw the photos from that Avatar shoot on facebook - you all looked so amazing! The photoshoot looks amazing great and seems like everyone had lots of fun

True, SMASH is too short a convention now ><. I miss the days it was a weekend con. Definitely let me know if you are coming for Animania! I'm looking forward to WaiCon next year :3 Glad it comes highly recommended ^^

Hey, late reply again - I have been flat out with Supanova prep and then in surgery (trouble with my legs, not hugely serious but will be in bed a few weeks recovering yet). Anyway, if you're watching my sister's DA you may have already heard by now that she's going to be at Smash this year after all (though not me, I shall be still in bed recovering at that point -_-). We also may have sort of accidentally won the Madman nationals cosplay heat for Perth this year, so it looks like we'll be in Brisbane for the finals in November. Animania's probably off, with all the rest of that to worry about, but we may still try to make it there next year.

Saw your sisters DA and saw her at SMASH! Unfortunately at the time she seemed quite busy and had lots of people around so I thought it would be best not to disturb her.

So sorry to hear about your legs! Are they doing better now? Hope you have enough to keep you sane whilst bedridden. I know it can get pretty frustrating not being able to move ><.

Congrats on the accidental win! Was a really funny skit. Good luck for the national comp! Any plans yet for who you want to cosplay for it?

Ha, we seem to make a good pair in that regard.

It was a real shame I couldn't make it to Smash this year, it sounds like everyone who did had a really great time.

The legs are improving - I'm up and about without crutches again, if slower than normal. I had plenty of books and my laptop to keep me sane while bedridden and a lot of help from my family too, so that all actually went pretty smoothly. (Could've done without the LiveJournal downtime though - talk about bad timing on my favourite distraction!)

Not sure if we're announcing our plans for the Madman nationals just yet, but trust me, we have plans. Oh boy do we have plans. *g*

Ah yes I plan to tape my bewbs when i do my first cross play, however my issues is with my child bearing hips!! 3 kids HUGE hips lol!

If it's okay (you are doing me a favour for free here, after all!), I would prefer the scarred version of Wade (he doesn't really read as being Deadpool to me otherwise - I would even have to admit to having written teen-AU fic where he's got his usual Deadpool appearance ).

Though I'd certainly be the last person to object if you wanted to draw some conventional teen-Wade as well.
