I don't think that he's 'inactive' per se, just that he rarely posts. There's a twitter account under his handle, but that's entirely abandoned. ON the Starbound forum, he was last seen back in April when he booped someone. As for his FA page? I'd still consider it slow, but active. Considering that a post back in late June isn't a bad sign. I would cation against actively trying to get into contact with him regarding the Avali, as it seems pretty clear to me that there's not going to be some grand lore rewrite going to happen any time soon. It has been over 10 years since he first created them after all.

So abandoned basically? I have a few questions:

What was the most recent Avali update you found?
What was in the late June update? Referring to June 2019?
The lore appears omissive and contradictory at this point. Has anyone offered to pick up canon work from Ryuujinzero?

RyuujinZERO is primarily and artist at this point. What he posted was a drawing of several fictional races, one of which was an Avali. There was a project he started back a few years ago to revive his original mod, instead of leaving it as triage. I think his last post about the current status of the rewrite was back in fall 2016. So I'd say that he's still active in some circles, just that Avali lore isn't one of them at the moment.
