I featured some of your work.
I wish I had time to thoroughly exhume each and every facet of your gallery (and probably also that and the means to do so in your mind).
I wish you the best in your current endeavours, whatever they may be.

Sarah sink my glow! I cannot believe it is really you! 2+ years! I am doing pretty well; how about yourself? are you fully entrenched in college life?

I'm all right. College is kind of icky but getting through (I hope!)
How is school goin for you?

I am sorry to hear that. I hope you are still sinking everyone's glow! aweighg.
School is goooooddddddddddddddd, life is filled with lots of literary-related exploits so overall things are pretty satisfactory. Scared, of course, about applications, but there is still time!

I'm trying!
I wish I had more literary-related exploits that I could be apart of. We only have like, one creative writing class though so it's pretty much only juniors and seniors that get into it :c though I should check into some journalism class or something... Hm..
Applications aren't as big a deal as some people may say. Don't worry too much about it

You exist and are alive, oh my god, hello!
I will absolutely let you know - there might be something coming up fairly soon, seeing as it is National Poetry month, so I'll make sure you are aware. It's lovely to hear from you!

I am, aye. Dubrow keeps me updated, but when I do make the trip over for CWAL meetings, I wanna see you.

I hope you're able to come by soon. Your presence really is missed. The "Poetry Jam" has been postponed multiple times, but it's actually going to happen within the next few weeks, so you should definitely, definitely attend! Beyond all that, how are you?

Aye. I look back sometimes, but I guess I don't regret it. Been alright -- it's gonna be five months with the girlfriend. Lots of painting, sleeping, writing, schooling, concerts -- the usual. And yourself, lady?

All of the above things sound pleasant to me, so I'm quite happy for you! I am well I think, though I am pretty certain "high school" is not the best location for me. Dr. B (whom I would never speak of so casually - I am just refraining from getting too personal on the internet, you know you know) is inexpressibly wonderful as per usual. Once the seniors graduate (tomorrow!) the club will shrink enormously, but I hope to find "recruits" next year so as to continue its legacy. I shall awkwardly stop myself from rambling further now...

I know exactly what you mean -- if I had the choice, I'd be outta school and teaching myself. And pfffft! The Grand and Wondrous Poetking has no qualms about being called Dr. B, in my own experiences. And I greatly enjoy your rambles, silly. c:

Most certainly. My future plans mostly involve going to college for as long as they'll keep me and then becoming a nomad of sorts, a time I look forward to!
And you're right, of course. I have always feared nicknames, do you know what I mean? Anyway, tell me - what have you been reading lately?

blinkingwithfists In reply to remotecontrolisms [2010-06-04 19:55:30 +0000 UTC]
Hm... lots of Goldbarth -- Dr. B got me onto him -- Delany (liberated one of his books from the school library before I had to leave, ha!), Wittgenstein, Deleuze & Guattari, buncha comics. And you? You should come to Funky Buddha on a Wednesday sometime and do open-mic.

remotecontrolisms In reply to blinkingwithfists [2010-06-04 23:30:35 +0000 UTC]
Oh my god, Albert Goldbarth is a hero. Dr. B introduced him to me too; I'm so excited you read him! "The Counterfeit Earth" is reasonably close to brilliance.
School kept me away from the book-devouring in which I wish I could partake but lately I've read CK Williams, Mary Ruefle, Sharon Olds, Foucalt... I am at a loss... some Klosterman, too, which has been interesting. Currently I'm flitting around between too many different poems. Summer's just begun and I don't know where to start.
The invitation is intriguing, but I'm so terrified of human beings!
