I saw a horse who looked just like Journey on a facebook group called what would George do? (As in George Morris) He overjumped quite similarly. Would this happen to be the same horse or did I just see his doppelganger?

Amazing! You guys were schooling novice I believe. I posted a reply to that image, because my horse behaves quite similarly. He also enjoys cross country so much that when schooling he has to fly a few feet higher than the fence itself

My horse just loves to jump! She hadn't had any formal jump training before I got her. I love horses who love to jump! But you have to be careful and not jump them too much!

Mine too! He actually was a cow horse when I bought him. I work him mostly in Dressage lately, but when he gets to jump he LOVES it! He loves cross country the most. We recently started competing in eventing and within two shows, he loves it so much and performed so well we qualified for nationals! I was so proud of him :] Do you show your horse or jump for fun?

I want to event her. I think she really could go far. But I don't really have the money to do a lot of shows, and we are in Oregon and there are not a lot of events in the area. I might take her to some hunter/jumper schooling shows for fin though. I think she would really love to steeplechase, she is really competitive and loves to jump. Haha, but I doubt we could do that. She hated dressage when I got her, anything to do with contact with her mouth. We progressed so far, it was really exciting, and then I had winter break and visited my parents so I couldn't ride her and then I have no way to get out to see her everyday right now.
hehe, She is afraid of cows!

I live in Washington, and there are lots of events here. Several of them are in Southern WA, so if you are in Northern Oregon, then you could probably travel. However, Oregon does have some of the best hunter/jumper shows, so that would be a great place to start. There are ways to do events on a budget, but they are still around 400$ for entry fees and stuff, so they are expensive.
If she's afraid of cows, I definitely wouldn't recommend showing at Happs in Ethel, WA, there's cows everywhere! All the horses were so scared, I think thats why me and my horse did well haha because he loves cows!
And after seeing that picture, I bet she would ROCK at eventing. She jumps just like my horse :]

Well, I can't say she is terrified of all cows, just the one that got loose in the pasture behind the ring we were riding in! She backed up so quick it was all I could do to get her to stop and look at it. Poor girl was shaking. It was obviously a horse eating cow! It didn't help that the cow was all upset because it was separated from it's friends.
We are about a half hour south of Eugene Or, so I guess we could go to the shows in southern WA, but I don't have a trailer. O.o I kind of feel out of place at Hunter/Jumper shows, they all have money, fancy stuff. I buy consignment horse tack and ride a free horse! lol! I'm hoping to do some schooling shows, and I'd love to do the event at Inavale. But that is dependent on how our dressage goes!

Inavale is SO much fun! I may be going this year, but I am not sure yet. It is farther away than I am used to :] But their jumps are so cool If you can't ride, you should go watch.

I hope my horse is ready for it. She had way too much time off because I didn't have a car, and her pelvis is out, again, and the time off made it worse.

I know some great ways to put the pelvis back, as my trainers old Intermediate horse had a similar problem. I don't really know how to explain it though, I can see if I can find an article on it or if it is just a method that only a few people know. I will send you a note about it.

Sweet. She is doing so much better, but I think the pelvis thing is still there. She had stomach ulcers, so that had a lot to do with her back and why she was so sensitive and cranky.

Two bad you dont live up here, I have a miracle worker chiropractor who is absolutely amazing and isn't expensive at all.
Two of my horses get ulcers, one of them quite badly. I would recommend either Ranitidine three times a day or SmartGut by SmartPak once a day. I used Ranitidine for my TB mare for a long time, but because her ulcers have been getting so much better I have swapped over to SmartGut. Ranitidine must be proscribed by your vet, but you can order SmartGut online
