My name is Marissa (or Rissy)! I just graduated from undergrad – I have a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in creative writing, a geology minor, and a leadership certificate. I will also be attending graduate school starting in the fall of 2017 for an M.F.A. program in creative writing and publishing arts. One thing I like to say to new members (in case they didn't read the new member info on our page) is that all submissions sent to us throughout the week will be sent out on Mondays and Thursdays -so if you submit some work and it isn't sent out right away, no worries it will be. Other than than that enjoy being in the group and happy reading and writing.

Hi, and welcome to theWrittenRevolution !
There are lots of things you can get involved in:
we post monthly writing prompts (that include prizes, and a chat event during the month to help people with their pieces),
publishing opportunities from other sites (whenever we come across one!),
we have a monthly feature that includes a deserving member, two of the best critiques we've seen during the month, and two helpful writing resources,
a monthly affiliates feature of two Literature groups,
and a biweekly-ish article in which one of our admins gives an in-depth critique to one of our members' work that hasn't received much feedback.
We'll soon be reviving our chatroom with weekly activities, so stay tuned for that too.
We also have Facebook and Twitter accounts. On our profile page you will find links to the latest of all the activities I listed up here and to our social networks that will help you keep updated, so feel free to look around and ask if you have any questions, we're here to help!

welcome to DA...! I normally paint, sketch and photograph. 4 mos. ago I was encouraged to write. I now have190 free verse poems on DA with another 30 to submit!
