Oh gosh, when I read april, I thought for a second that I missed school.

I would also go friday if we could, but that would mean a weekend pass and possibly renting out a hotel, which I'm pretty sure is hard to do this close to con! (and not to mention pricy!) Plus, the friend I want to go with only plans on going on Saturday.

While usually, I'd take something as a compliment, this I see more as something.......saddening? You're using the words 'NEVER' and 'DON'T DESERVE X' and that makes my smile go upside down!!!! :'C !

You shouldn't say never. You shouldn't say never in any occasion. Because you're setting yourself up with the mindset that you'll NEVER do something. And you know what? If you instead go 'HEY, I CAN DO THIS!!!' You can! you have to believe in yourself!!! Believe and always fight for it!

A lot of people think they 'can't or 'shouldn't' draw because they don't have the 'gift' or the 'skills.' and to be honest, it's really more SHEER PRACTICE that has gotten me to where I am today. If you want me to give you a tutor lesson, the first step would be to make sure you draw every day. every day!!! You won't learn unless you practice. even five minute drawings will do, you just have to practice! I really emphasis this because there's a lot of people who don't understand that and then expect themselves to be a drawing pro within a week!! that...really doesn't happen, ahaha. my drawing style took YEARS. C':

Moving on~~! Instead of looking at my art and going 'GEE, I'll never be like her!', you should look at my art and go 'Ah, she has neat art' and use the influence to create your own style. I myself have a lot of artists that I have admired and looked up to, but I don't go and expect a tutorial hand made by them. Instead, I take the influence that their art has given me and try out new things for my 'style'; which, to be quite honest, isn't really that defined. Some of the artists I look up to include people like these:

Now, you may need an account to navigate more efficiently on the pixiv ones, and some of these artists have sites other than the one I mentioned (they have the most updated artwork on there, though!!) but these are just some of the MANY people that I'm inspired by. They are all the reasons why I have an art style today. And some of these people are even friends of mine!! friends are sometimes, if not always, the biggest influence, in my opinion.

If there's ever any use for the word never, it would be to 'never copy a style directly'. A common example is, perhaps, the 'anime' style; There's artists who have the anime style as an INFLUENCE, which results in some really awesome art! In fact, I'm rather sure that my style has some anime influence in it. But there's others who directly copy anime out of the nearest 'how to draw anime book' and it's....not always pretty. It's not just the stereotyped anime either; the only reason I brought that style up is because it's easy to relate to. (due to it's popularity)

I really hope you don't mind the paragraphs, but when people say things like that, it really bothers me!! REALLY REALLY REALLY BOTHERS ME ; ~;
