Hmm. I don't know. I am really bad at picking favorites. It is definitely a series I will go back to years from now and re-read. What about you? Is it your fave?

I really like it but my favourite book is "Unwind" by Neal Shusterman, but my favourite series is the Maze Runner. Have you read either before?

I haven't read either of those. I just added them both to my wish list to remind me to buy them. They both sound interesting!
One I just finished was Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - judging by the description on those two, I think you'd really like it if you haven't read it already. That's probably my favorite book of the moment, but I'm sure it'll change as I read more.

ruby7bunny In reply to cute-loot [2012-06-12 00:15:26 +0000 UTC]
I am kind of a book worm, I usually read the stuff my friends and sister suggest for me to read. All have been good so far ^-^ I think I'd have to say I'm more of a movie buff, I really like studying the cinematography. What's your favourite movie?

cute-loot In reply to ruby7bunny [2012-06-13 04:34:52 +0000 UTC]
Oh no! You ask all the hard questions.
Hmm, I think my favorite movie might be Ratatouille. I have it on DVD and enjoy watching it over and over again. I think it's the only DVD I own actually, haha.
Cinematography is really neat! Sometimes I like watching movies just to see how they manage to lay out the story and use the effects, but I don't tend to watch a whole lot of movies. I'm more of a TV series person.
What about yourself? What's your favorite movie?

ruby7bunny In reply to cute-loot [2012-06-18 00:27:41 +0000 UTC]
Ha ha feel free to sit me in the hot seat ^-^
Ratatouille is such a cute movie <3 What's your favorite part? My fave Pixar movie is UP. I thought these two movies were so original (actually I find most of Pixar's movies original lol)Ya I need to buy more DVDs too. The only real movies I own are the Narnia movies and Soul Surfer.
Yes, I do the same. One main reason I enjoy animated movies so much is because of the art factor and the cinematography.
My top favorite movies are: SH~ Game of Shadows, The Truman Show, and the Avengers (cinamatography, props and sets, and stories are all phenomenal) lol I go whenever I can (actually it really depends on what's showing lol.)There are only three real shows that I follow: Spongebob(lol yes), Murdock Mysteries, and Doctor Who. What's your favorite show?
Can I ask, what type of artist you are? Are you a high school student like myself, a university student in an art program, or are you done with school and just practising for fun? ^-^

cute-loot In reply to ruby7bunny [2012-06-23 05:09:19 +0000 UTC]
I think my favorite part of Ratatouille is the interactions with Linguini and Colette. But everything is great. The story-line, the animation, and music are all wonderful. But the characters, especially those two, is just memorable. I love UP! as well! I just can't watch it without crying, haha. Otherwise, I'd watch it all the time.
I love almost all the Pixar movies as well, I think that's why they tend to be ones I enjoy watching over and over again. I saw Game of Shadows, the camera work in that is really neat. I need to see the first one tho cause I was a bit lost on the story parts. I have yet to see the Avengers (I feel like maybe I'm the only one left haha) but I'll catch it when it comes out on DVD.
Ooh, favorite TV show. I have a lot. I am currently addicted to Doctor Who too! I started watching it a few months back and cannot stop. I never been a Sci-Fi fan so surprised I am enjoying it so much. It is definitely my favorite at the moment. I want to draw some fan art when I can think of something interesting. Other than that, I really enjoy Community, Bones, and Korra (though I'm still favoring the old Avatar series atm).
I'm done with school! Art wise, I consider myself a professional cause I do a lot of commission work and art shows, but it's not my sole income. I like for it to become that one day, so chugging away at it in my free time.
What grade are you in for high school? Are you thinking about going into an art program in a university when you finish?
Btw, I am really enjoying our conversations!

Yes, I went to watch up on my birthday and ended up crying when his wife died D: I just love the connection between the old man, kid, and the animals ^-^
Pixar is such a great company, they always have original movie ideas!
LOL its okay, sometimes it's tricky to find time to see it in theatres before it moves on. I can't wait to buy it on DVD!
HA HA YES! Another Whoovian! What doctor is your favorite? I like Tenant(10) the best but I haven't seen much of the Matt Smith(11) yet. I also just started watching it this year, my best friend's family is addicted to it ha ha.
Yes, I also want to draw some fan art! Like for Doctor Who, Portal 2, and Pikmin! Do you enjoy playing video games?
Did you go to artschool? You're so pro! How long have you been drawing? Commissions are fun! I did a couple for my school friends. I'm thinking about taking a few classes ^-^ just for fun.
In Octoper I'll be in gr. 11 What's your name? How old are you approx?
I'm enjoying them too! Now I have another DA buddy yay!

I know! ;_; That's why I can never watch UP! Every time that scene gets me. And I know it's coming too so you think by now I be use to it. Nope! The little boy is my favorite, the way he looks and acts is just too cute.
I've never kept up on any American comic characters, but the way everyone is going on about the Avengers movie I feel like I need to see it. Right now I really want to see Brave, that looks amazing! Have you seen it yet? Or any other movies you are looking forward to?
Whoovian! I like that. I had not heard that before.
I just started Doctor Who this year as well! I kept seeing references to it so decided to see what the fuss was about. I can watch it through Netflix online so that's what I've been doing in my free time. I really liked the 9th doctor, but I wish there was more of him. I've kinda forgotten him now since he only had the one season.
So, at the moment I'd have to say the 10th is my favorite too. He's easy on the eyes for sure! I just started on the seasons with the 11th doctor, so I can't decide if I like him yet or not. It's an addicting show for sure! I love the ones with Donna in them, she was hysterical. I miss her more than any other character, haha.
Have you seen any of the older (original?) doctors? I sorta want to see those but not sure if I'd enjoy it as much as the newer series.
I love playing video games. I don't tend to have much time these days but I try to squeeze one in every now and then. I enjoy puzzle games a lot. Portal 2 was amazing! I really want to play through it again. I love all the fan art I've seen of it where people have turned Wheatley and Glados into humans. It's so creative! What games do you like playing?
I did. I went to school for art originally and then went back again for business. I just finished business school about a year ago. I honestly think both were super beneficial. If you decide to do any kind of art degree, take some business classes (especially marketing) with it, it'll help you out in the long run. Do you have any classes you specialize in school? Any thoughts of what you want to do for a career?
I've been drawing for as long as I can remember, but I seriously got into when I was about 13-14. I haven't looked back since. It keeps me sane.
Grade 11! You are almost a senior! Are you looking forward to graduation or is that still too far ahead to even begin thinking about? I don't think graduation hit me till the month of when I was in high school.
My name is Amber and I am 30. That sounds so old in writing but I still feel 18, haha. I think I saw your name is Jay on your dA page? That's such a pretty name. Is that your real name or a nickname? Either way it's an awesome name!

Ha ha, im the same! I like how emotional they created the older couple because usually old people in movies come off as stiff. lol yes I love that kid! Oh and the bird kevin! ha ha
It is actually really good ^-^ my uncle and aunt are both BIG comic nerds so I got an entire blow by blow of all the characters after I watched it! lol It was actually really interesting! I'm excited for the Spider man movie and for brave, they both look really great!
Ha ha, I heard the term from my sister and friends (guess I'm surrounded by nerds ;D)
I really liked Donna also, she was the most unique and funny assitant but I really enjoyed rose as well
Hmm, no I haven't seen the earlier episodes, but apparently they're really cheesy lol I think it would still be kind of cool to check it out I like that one doctor's rainbow scarf ha ha ^-^ An old show I'd like to watch would be the Cosby Show. I was required to put together an assignment about Bill Cosby and I watched an episode, they're actually pretty funny. Kind of like Disney Channel shows except better lol. Have you seen the show?
VIDEO GAMES FOR THE WIN! LoL But I agree, I don't have very much time these days (that's why I haven't been able to write this sooner ) I enjoy puzzle games like Professor Layton, Portal 2, Pikmin 2, and anything else up that alley. Sometimes I like RPGS but can't think of any that I enjoy off the top of my head. Fan art is pretty great I actually have a little in my gallery if you want to check it I'm actually planning on releasing two portal pictures once I get time to finish them lol. I really like looking up avengers fan art, portal, and professor layton. They're usually pretty funny lol
Ooo that's cool! I'm not sure if I want t do art for my career but I still think taking classes in university would be cool ^-^ I graduated with a high mark in art and English (like high eighties low ninety's, I can't remember the percent now lol)What were your favorite classes in highschool?
For my career I want a job where i can help and hangout with people (so I might become a teacher of some sort ^-^)
LOL I started when I was in elementry, but I started doing it religiously when I was twelve i think. Yes, art helps me stay calm too! Lol When I'm stressed I drink tea, sing at the top of my lungs, and doodle comics lol. How about you? What do you do to relax?
Eeeee, I guess so. (I'd rather not think about graduating quite yet XD I'd rather be a kid forever lol) I'd have to say I'm really not ready lol. I could probably do well on my own, but I like living at home where I don't have to cook or pay the bills ha ha. Do you have any advice for my next year of school or funny stories from when you were in highschool? lol ^-^
Lol nice to meet you Amber Yes, well my actual name is Janelle, but my nickname is Jay. Ha ha why thank you, usually I get weir d looks for having a dude nickname, but I guess I'm a tomboy like that ha ha. Amber is actually one of my favorite names

Oh, so sorry for being so late in this reply! Life went a bit crazy for me as I had some family things.
I ended up seeing Brave last weekend! It was so great! I think I read somewhere that the Avengers will be on DVD shortly, so I am going to have to keep my eye out for that. I still feel like the last person on earth to see that movie! Have you seen either Brave or Spiderman yet? You'll have to give me the low down on Spiderman if you have seen it.
After you told me the term Whovians I see it popping up everywhere! It's such a cute term for being a fan. I got caught up on the show and watched the 11th doctor episodes. Now I am loving the 11th doctor, haha. I guess you do that. Whatever the current doctor you are watching is the one you start loving.
I still haven't seen any of the older Doctor Who, but I've seen photos. I like the scarf doctor as well. I also saw one that had celery on his jacket, that was pretty awesome! I bet they are cheesy. I can only imagine what the effects were like with the lack of technology they had then. I use to watch the Cosby show all the time, it's so great! I don't normally see it on TV anymore. Sometimes when I want background noise I'll find Fraiser on TV and turn that on. I use to watch it growing up with my dad and I still love it.
Professor Layton is great! It was definitely one of those games that I had to put down a lot because I'd get stuck and frustrated. To be honest, I never finished it, haha. I need to pick it up again. I think there are several of them? I love DS games. Did you ever play the Phoenix Wright games? Those would be my all time favorite games on the DS. I can't wait to see your Portal pictures! I can't remember if I have you on my watch list or not so I'm going to double-check when I am done replying and add you if not. That way I can see it as soon as you post it.
Ooh, what were my favorite high school classes... I had a British Lit class my Senior year that I really enjoyed. The teacher told the story of King Arthur, and rather than just lecture, he actually acted out all the parts. It was great! I also really enjoyed Trigonometry. Which is funny, cause I'm not very good at math, it takes me a real long time to understand it so I usually get lost early on in the classes. But Trig just clicked right away and I really enjoyed working out the problems. Does your high school have a lot of electives? We only had Art, Drama, or Band. Because I can't play a musical instrument to save my life, I took Art and Drama all my years. Everyone else I've ever spoken to about high school had all sorts of classes to choose from.
Being a teacher would be a fun occupation. I know a few folks who are teachers and they really enjoy it. Plus you get summers off! I thought about teaching myself but never really felt like it be a good fit for me. I'd worry I wouldn't be able to actually teach the material and confuse my students instead. I may look into teaching at a community college when I get older and have more experience. What type of teacher do you think you like to be? A college professor, elementary, or high school? What subject would you teach?
Your art routine sounds like mine, haha. I love tea - hot, cold, sweet, bitter. A lot of times when I am working, I'll brew some tea, play loud music, and get to work. I also have a bad habit of singing along with it even thought I can't sing a note! Reading is what I mostly do to relax. I try to always read a chapter or two of a book before going to bed. It lets me wind down easily. Also, walking my dog is relaxing. It gives me time to just think while getting some sun. Do you have any pets?
I am right there with you about being a kid. I wish I could go back to those days. But being an adult is nice too. The freedom is nice to have, even if you have to deal with the cooking and paying bills. It took me awhile to learn that I could just get in my car and go somewhere and not have to tell anyone. Now, I don't think I could give that up.
My advice for your next year would be to just be to enjoy it. It'll go by so fast. So try to take it slow. Also, I don't know how the university/college system works in Canada, but if you have scholarships to apply for, do it early! I was the stubborn teenager that didn't listen to anyone and waited to the last minute on those. They can really help!
I think the funniest/embarrassing story I have from high school was when I took Driver's Ed. I really really did not want to learn to drive. The whole concept of it scared me for some reason. But, I was forced to take the class so I didn't have much choice. One day, when it was my turn to drive, we were pulling out of a parking lot onto a two-lane highway. I turned right into the left-hand lane and just went along my merry way. The teacher, I will never forget, asked me what the yellow lines in the middle of the road meant. And I answered his question. Very good, he says, then why don't you get on the right side? I was so embarrassed and the other kid in the car with me couldn't stop laughing. We had algebra together later in the day, so right before class started, he stood up in front and told the entire class how I almost killed him that day. Worst day ever, haha.
I didn't get my driver's license until I was 17 because of that class. And that was again, because I was forced to. I can't help but laugh at it now, but I was pretty embarrassed and the story haunted me the rest of my high school career. I'm a good driver now! Do you have any crazy high school stories yet?

LoL it's okay I am super super late. lol I've just been extremely busy lately, I've been taking an advance math course to get ahead and finished grade eleven math this summer so that I can work on grade twelve math in the fall.
I'm not sure when the Avengers will be out, like maybe in October or something. I actually saw The Amazing Spider Man movie recently, It was really good I prefer Andrew Garfield as Spider Man but I'd have to watch it again to really absorb the full story details.
Ha ha, I agree. I used to not like the nineth doctor too much but after watching "The Empty Child" I started really liking him too. I think (at least for the reruns) they have been able to hire the right people to play the doctors.
For Professor Layton, it is quite a challenging game, I guess that's one reason why I really enjoy it. It's not one of those games you play and finish in a day though, it took me like a year to finish the Unwound Future because I kept getting stuck. Actually for me, I end up recrute my friends and siblings, once even a teacher, to help me with the puzzels I'm too lazy to solve ^-^. There's four games in english, even though they're tricky, they have really great story lines I can imagine you really enjoying them. I have heard of Phonex Wright games, my cousin is a huge fan but I never really caught the wave lol. Another game I really liked playing was
Animal Crossing Wild World on the DS, have you ever played it?
Ha ha thanks Unfortuneatly I don't know when I'll be getting to my portal fanart, I have some outlines complete but I've been pretty behind on my art recently. I want to work on my fan art really bad, but I'm super behind on my weekly comics and I should probably catch up on those first Still, I'll notify you when I get around to them ^-^ Have you been working on any big projects lately?
Oh! Another show I want to make fan art for is Hetalia! Have you watched the anime before?
Cool that sounds fun I actually don't mind triganometry either. I'm looking forward to next year's Social, Bio, and hopefully Media classes. My school doesn't really have too too many electives my school is kind of on the tinier side. I used to play the piano but when my teacher retired I did too. lol My friend is trying to get me to play the ukulele so i might take that up ^-^. I enjoy acting too.
Hmmm well I've been thinking about it and now I feel like I'm leaning more into the medical feild. I guess I've always considered either being a phesician of some sort or a teacher. If I was a teacher, I'd probably want to teach English, Social, Art, or Biology (so I guess that's secondary). I kinda waver when it comes to career choices but I guess that's okay because I'm still young. ;D lol That would be cool to be a college professor, would you teach art or marketing?
Cool What type of music do you enjoy? I don't have any pets right now, but when I move out I hope to buy a bambino kitty What type of dog do you have?
I have a bunch of grade nine stories I could tell but that would take too long ^-^ lol. Still, one of my most embarassing moments from my grade ten year would have to be in Science. We were doing a mentos and pop experiment and one of the guys in my class was bullying me. I got really fed up and ended up pouring a liter of Freska all over his face. It happened infront of a big group of guys and was probably the worst first impression I have ever made. Later some girls sincerely congradulated me, saying I had guts to do that lol >.< It was such a spur of the moment thing, that I probably wouldn't have done it if I actually had time to think, but ever since then my reputation has preceeded me and that kid has hated my guts >.< lol
Then once when we had a substatute teacher, I ended up fainting at the front of the class. Both the teacher and the principal had to drag me out of the room and I ended up being absent from school for a week. I was super embarassed but when I got back I was complimented on how graceful of a fainter I was :S so that was also very awkward lol. School is very weird sometimes ha ha.

That's a smart move! Taking some classes over the summer. Get them out of the way early.
I'm still on the original Professor Layton game. I think I've been playing it for maybe a year and a half now off and on, haha. One of these days I'll finish it. Some of the puzzles are really hard! I haven't played Animal Crossing but I've heard of it. I will probably try it one of these days. A friend of mine is having fun playing Pokemon which is making me want to pick that up. I honestly never really played Pokemon. I watched the cartoon tho years ago, haha. Did you ever play Pokemon? Any suggestions on which one I should pick up for the DS?
I have a couple of big projects going on at the moment. I'm doing a ongoing comic for a writer that involves a Hunger Games story around his own life. I posted one on dA but realized that it doesn't make much sense out of context, so I've left it to him posting them on his blog. It's going to be going on for awhile. I'm also working on Doctor Who drawings for upcoming con merchandise. I'm doing the 10th & 11th doctor and their companions (so 8 characters total). Almost have the lines done, just have to start coloring them. They are going to be bookmarks. I don't want to post them on dA until I have all 8 finished. I'm also working with a friend of mine to get our own comic off the ground - we have so many written scripts - so now we are working out the characters. It looks like I'm not doing much art cause I haven't had anything I can post on dA but I am! haha
Do you start back to school soon? Hopefully you have a little bit of summer left for fun times and art!
Medicine is a great field to be in. It's challenging but always needed. I thought about medical but realized that was just not where my passion was. You have plenty of time to decide! And to be honest, you'll probably major in one thing and end up working in a completely different field.
If I was to teach, I'd probably do a marketing your art class. I think artist understanding how to sell themselves and their work is such a lacking topic. I'd love to be able to share my expertise and experiences in a educational environment.
I tend to enjoy Indie/Folk music I think. I never know, but that's what Pandora tells me, haha. Cats are great. I'd never heard of a bambino kitty before. I will have to google it. I have a mini-schnauzer. He's the best! Have you had any pets in the past?
Haha school is weird! I like your story about pouring the soda on the kid though. It sounded like he deserved it. I wonder if he ever tells the story to his friends or if he is too embarrassed that he had soda poured on his head, haha.

I've been to a few around my immediate area. Done for the year tho! Which is good, I'm exhausted from the travelling and long days. Though going to ones during the cold/flu season is not a good idea. I've been so sick this month. ;_;
Sorry to hear that high school is not going well. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the preppy girls. But it sounds like you have the right attitude going! Congrats on the good grades. That's what counts. Teaching the art classes sounds like fun! I love to know how that goes.
Work is good for me. Very busy but I always look at that as job security. If I am busy, they obviously need me, haha.
