# About me
I am currently finding my way in the art of pyrography on wood and paper. I've been burning seriously for about 4 years now. My subjects range from vintage car hood ornaments and headlights, old west, eagles and whatever I think would look good woodburned. I am a native Texan and have lived on the Texas Gulf Coast for over 35 years.# Comments

Great gallery wonderful work, I have only used pyrography on placing the scales on the serpent carved on my cane but found it to be very artistic form of creating art.
Was stationed at Ft. Hood 74-77, loved Texas.

Thank you for your comments brother Veteran. I served at Hunter Liggett Military Reservation with CDEC (Combat Development Experimentation Command from 74-77. Basic at Ft Polk in 7-74, how about you? I found pyrography about 4 years ago and its the most relaxing thing I've found to do..get out your woodburner and go wild

Basic at Ft. Lost in the Woods, Misery (Ft. Leonard wood, Missouri. ) and AIT at Ft Knox in 74. Enjoyed AIT, did a lot of growing up in Basic. My primary pleasure comes from Graphite and Colored Pencils, getting ready to experiment with Acrylic and Water color (Never attempted so far.) and I find a lot of joy in my carving although I haven't done a lot of anything recently. I'm trying to finish another walking stick (More style accessory than cane, even with my titanium hip I don't need a cane.) this will be my third, you should check out my second one I have in my gallery in the carving folder. Carving also relaxes me even more so than my drawing does because I just get lost in the work.
You do some superb work with your tools, patience is the key in all things though that's just my opinion.n

Thanks for your service Brother! It was a no brainer for me to enlist...always knew it was the path I'd take after HS. Never regretted it a second. Never made it past Hunter Liggett and CDEC..Required a top secret clearance to be there and once you had it CDEC kept you, lol. I know what you mean by getting lost in the work, I can sit down at 8 in the evening and the next thing I know its 2 in the morning. Patience and practice is definitely the key in what we do, I woodburn every day for at least 3 hours while listening to music..
