Thanks for the fav. As for our pictures to paint. They are good but it's going to be alot of dull tints. The tones are also kinda of blended together which makes them both tough. If you want to paint one still, I would say the girl in the red dress. You could also photoshop some highlights on to girl to make her more interesting. If the sun light was hitting her and the rail it would of been perfect. But as I said you could fix that in photoshop. That's what we do some times at school. Good luck!

It's my first still life in oil, but not my first oil painting.
I started painting about a year ago, just trying to copy work that inspired me, for example, the 2 florals in my gallery.
I enjoyed painting, but wasn't really excited about my results.
Then I married artist Mark Carder who tried to convince me that he could teach anyone to paint realism beautifully. Well, Mark finally convinced me to try his method for learning to paint in oil (he was about to release his how to paint dvd). I watched the dvd and painted the peaches, which took about 3 weeks.
