before november 2009, i used a "point and shoot" canon powershot. it was a GREAT camera -- but not a DSLR. (:
and now, i use a canon rebel xs which is a DSLR. its absolutely fabulous, and although expensive, is definitely worth it as a new beginner's DSLR! the majority of my photos on here, though, are taken with the canon powershot!
