ooc. Heh, thanks. And yeah, I was taking two last year. Passed one of the exams with a 3 (AP English Language), though I did fail APUSH, heh. I didn't care though, since I really did want and need to pass lang, since it'd look good with the journalism major I wanna pursue. This year I'm taking three classes; AP English Literature, AP US Government, and AP Microeconomics (economics is a graduation requirement unfortunately).

((Oh man, if your English exam was anything like my AP English exam, idk how you survived. They gave us three essays. Me, being the annoying perfectionist that I am, spent forever and a day writing two of them, going back over them, and making sure everything I wanted to say had been said the way I wanted. Then we had like ten minutes left and I still had to write the third one so I just scribbled like, five sentences. They also forgot to call our group for lunch so when you have a group of seventeen year olds who have been locked in a room from 8:30 to 3:20 with no food, no drinks, and only a test for company, things are going to get hairy the second the bell rings. I don't care if they're AP students or not, you never take a teenager's food away.

Ew. We had to take Economics at my school, but it was paired with Civics so it made it slightly more bearable. Plus my teacher was really cool, so that made everything better.))

ooc. I'm pretty sure all the AP exams are the same regardless of state so I'm confident we had he same one! We were stuck at a small college doing our exams and I was a lot more paranoid about everything being perfect than my US History exam, heh, cause I really needed to pass this one / it'd help a bunch with my major. That sucks though X'DΒ
Ew indeed, I don't know a thing in that class and it's a month before the exam, so I know I'm failing and I really don't care; I just need a C in the actual class and I'll be fine. uvuΒ
Also, I'm sorry for my late response. Things have just been crazy on my end and I'm trying to get adjusted to being back on DA.

I hated that class because law and the economy is so boring to me. It's just like, okay, don't do anything illegal and make money. This is how you have a happy life. That's all I need to know about those subjects.

"So... You're a scientist, right? What field?" She was very curious. She'd come to rely on Wilson and respect him for what he did here and how he treated her. However, she'd never really asked about much of his personal stuff. Maybe she was afraid he'd ask her in return... Never the less, she did want to know enough to chance it now.

"Oh, err..Well, I do a little bit of everything. Like engineering, and just general experimentation. I tried the medical field, but I wasn't the best with that, so I stuck to science." Wilson replied with a little shrug, surprised at the question, but he was glad nonetheless to talk about something casual for once - instead of discussing who was to keep watch for hounds at that night. "What about you?"

"For the most part, yes." Wilson chuckled softly, resting his chin in his hands. "While not everything I did went out as planned, I still tried. Oh..? At least you had a pretty normal job. I was the crazy scientist in the woods." He added with a little roll of his eyes, continuing. "My home was very isolated, and I wanted most people to keep away from me. My family wanted nothing to do with me when I choice the field of a 'madman' as a career, but hey; I accomplished more than they could ever hope to do on their own."Β

Normal? Oh, if only he knew. She was certainly more abnormal than Wilson. "Well then, that's their problem, isn't it?" It was strange, but as much as she hated being trapped here, it almost seemed worth all of it to meet someone she could rely on. It wasn't like she had many of those. "At least people left you alone," she sighed, "I have no idea why I got that job. People scare the shit outta me." Not to mention that her criminal status meant that any chanceof her being left alone was ar and away.

HUMANS ARE PATHETIC Here is that start, as I said I would do-

This is pathetic, absolutely pathetic. WX-78 found himself stuck in this.. this.. place. A place shrouded in trees and nature. The automaton looked around, letting his optics take in what he saw. He blinked. He began moving himself toward the trees, ignoring everything. This is quite the strange place he had to admit, since he had never been outside the building where he was created he had never got to see the outdoors. This is ALL new to him and it would be quite the adventure. WX-78 scanned the area, slowly tilting his head. "TAKING IN NEW SURROUNDINGS." He spoke in a monotone voice. After doing his robot stuff he continued walking, his heavy metal feet stepping on the soft grass, at least the ground wasn't being destroyed- his feet were not THAT heavy.

It felt like hours, no- that's a lie, more like 30 minutes later WX-78 stumbled upon a camp site. He tilted his head. "SOMEBODY IS, OR HAS BEEN, LIVING HERE." He stated as he walked around the camp- looking at everything. Machines.. A machine made for science. "MOTHER?" He questioned, looking at it. Around the camp was other stuff- chests, a fire pit, a little farm, an icebox. Who owns, or owned, this camp defiantly has, or had, it going for them.

don't starve. wOO

Wilson had been on his way back to camp after an hour or so of fishing; he'd been successful, carrying a few fishes tied by their tails with a rope. He was going to eat well tonight, thankfully. The scientist had been here for several weeks, and had made himself a nice little camp to call home. As much as he wanted to return to his cottage back in England, this place would have to do until he found a way to get out of this blasted world. Wiping sweat from his forehead; damn, it was pretty hot out today ; the scientist raised his head to glance up at the camp ahead; he froze upon seeing the strange..err, thing, standing near his camp. It looked like a robot, but why the hell was it here? Approaching the campsite, he set the fish aside and picking up a spear sticking out of the ground by a chest, raising it cautiously as he glanced at the automaton. "Who are you..? Can you even talk?"Β

HUMANS ARE PATHETIC. Lol I replied on the wrong acc. Reply to THIS ONE PLZ

WX-78 had still been studying the machine he had called 'Mother', seriously- he was like, super interested in it. But upon hearing a, WX-78 tilted his head and looked at the source of the voice. Oh great, another pathetic human- but when he saw the spear.. "DANGER. WEAPON AT HAND. TAKE EXTRA CAUTION." Of course, this was his instinct, all of this was programmed into him. He could not exactly.. un-program it. And he hated that so, so much. He snapped out of his instinct and gave the other a suspicious look. "I AM WX-78. AND WHO ARE YOU?"

Wilson stopped as this contraption of a being spoke, quirking an eyebrow and scowling a little. "..Wilson Percival Higgsbury. Did Maxwell make you..? If so, he could've done better." The Englishman sighed softly, though dared not lower the spear; what if Maxwell had sent this thing here to kill him? Great, first hounds, and now robots? "He didn't send you to kill me, did he?" He huffed, taking a step closer and pointing the weapon at WX-78; he'd dealt with Clockwork Knights before, so this being wouldn't be much of a hassle if he was aggressive.Β

WX-78 studied the other, and he gave an angry look when the other said 'could've don't better;- now he didn't know who Maxwell is. But he surely is offended. Β "I DO NOT KNOW WHO MAXWELL IS." He simply stated. "AND I WILL SAY, I LOOK BETTER THAN YOU EVER COULD." He placed his hands on his hips. He also took a step closer to Wilson. Oh, WX-78 is aggressive alright when he wants to be. But he just needed a weapon..

Stay back," He spoke up quickly, keeping his spear pointed at WX-78; he dared not lower his guard, as he didn't want to take any risks - he didn't know if this robot was lying, let alone if he could, but it was better to be safe than sorry.

"AT LEAST I DON'T HAVE A WEIRD HAIRSTYLE, BAD FASHION CHOICE, AND BAGS UNDER MY EYES.." He silently muttered as he stared the other down, looking good- whatever. He could look shiny whenever he wanted, all he had to do was polish himself and that's that. He looked at the spear, as if that THING could pierce through his metal.Β

((Here you go!))

In this strange place, winter seemed to hit like a ton of bricks. There was hardly a transition between the cool and tolerable autumn weather and the piles of snow that seemed to have stacked themselves in the blink of an eye. The worst of it was the wind. That kind of howling, bitter chill that cut straight through clothing and flesh and drove a knife into the very bone of those unfortuate enough to be caught in it.

This wasn't weather Ruby was used to. She was a North Carolina girl. She lived on the cost, in a place where half an inch of snow was a cause for school to be canceled because it simply did not occur often enough to warrent learning how to deal with it.

The already cold-natured teen rubbed her red and aching hands together as she prepared to gather the logs she'd collected for the fire. They were more important than ever now, ans she certainly wasn't going to let Wilson down. She'd be useful. It didn't matter if she hated the cold. In fact, it was even more reason to get this back to camp.

Her feet ached with every step as the cold penetrated even the sturdy hiking shoes she'd arrived here in. It wasn't long before she found herself limping down the path moreso than walkingwalking, and eventually pitching forward onto the wet ground as the logs scattered.

So cold... She couldn't move... She didn't want to. Nothing about this place should've unnerved her at this point, as she now knew that anything and everything was dangerous. However, this did. This was what it felt like to truly be freezing to death? The cold numbed everything, but somehow missed the pain itself.

Dammit, why now? Why this? She had to get bavk to camp. She'd promised not to cause any trouble. She had to get back! But here in the cold, she coild feel her eyes drifting shut. It made her so tired. She shouldn't fall asleep...

Wilson had been waiting for Ruby to return to camp, having just gotten back from collecting some grass and checking the rabbit traps nearby. After dropping off his load at the camp, he headed back out to check any traps he might have missed; with this harsh Winter, they needed as much food as they could get tucked away in the icebox. Considering he'd lived in England, he was used to the cold; but this weather was worse than any Winter in England he had ever been through. Adjusting the earmuffs over his ears, Wilson began to head along one of the familiar paths in the area, checking a few traps along the way - but he froze as he spotted Ruby just up ahead, logs scattered on the ground. "Ruby! Ruby, are you alright?" He called out, sprinting along the path until he reached her, kneeling down beside her and giving her shoulders a little shake.
